ˇ The Sydney Mardi Gras is a renowned gay festival which takes place at the beginning of March 2008. During this time, as well as over New Year, supplements and minimum night stays may apply. Please ask for details. ˇ For first time visitors take a city sightseeing tour, it really helps with the geography of the city. Thereafter arm yourself with a good street map and a guide book and explore on foot.

ˇ To see the best of the city's beaches, why not try the Coogee to Bondi walk or Manly to Spit Junction. ˇ Bondi Beach is probably one of the most iconic stretches of sand in the world. Take a picnic or enjoy a bite in one of the many cafés. In summer be sure to take plenty of sunblock as the sun can be very fierce. ˇ Stop off for a coffee and you might think it's a bit confusing. If flat white, long black & skinny latte mean nothing to you then enlist the help of a local. Sydneysiders are a friendly bunch will be happy to help you order a brew. ˇ See the city from the top of the Harbour Bridge! This has to be a `must' for everyone, the view is quite breathtaking. Be sure to book in advance as it's really popular.
