Day 1: Arrive Darwin On arrival in Darwin, transfer by shuttle service to your chosen hotel for a three-night stay. Standard: Travelodge Mirambeena Resort Darwin Superior: Saville Park Suites (Hotel Room) Deluxe: Saville Park Suites (Superior Suite) Day 2: Kakadu National Park & Yellow Waters Today, travel south by air-conditioned coach to Kakadu National Park, home to a profusion of birdlife. You will be escorted through Nourlangie, one of the most significant art sites in the park, where you will see aboriginal rock art dating back thousands of years. Visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre for an understanding of the culture within the park. Join a guided cruise on Yellow Waters, Kakadu's most famous wetland area and keep a look out for crocodiles and a variety of birdlife. Stop to view the termite mounds on the roadside as you return to Darwin, arriving at approximately 7pm. Day 3: Litchfield National Park Depart Darwin early this morning and travel south, climbing the rocky Tabletop Range to Litchfield National Park. See the striking double waterfall of Florence Falls, then on to Tolmer Falls, one of the most spectacular in the park, cascading over two high escarpments into a deep waterhole. Continue on to the rock pool at Wangi Falls. Time for a refreshing swim or perhaps a nature walk before returning to Darwin. Day 4: Depart Darwin Transfer from your hotel to the airport for your onward flight or head off on another adventure in the Northern Territory.

Tiwi Islands Tour
Tour DB01 9 hrs Begin this unique cultural experience with a 20 minute scenic flight to the Aboriginal community of Nguiu on Bathurst Island. With a local guide visit the museum and a unique, Tiwi-style Catholic Church. Be taken through the arts and crafts centre to see artists at work and enjoy billy tea and damper with them. They will also demonstrate their totem dances and perform a smoking ceremony to bless the visitors. Visit a lookout which is also the setting of a Tiwi burial site and learn about the rituals associated the Pukamani Poles (burial poles) before returning to Darwin. Kakadu & Yellow Water Wildlife
Tour D31L 13 hrs Depart Darwin and enter Kakadu National Park, Australia's largest and arguably most famous national park. Its vast wetlands and ancient escarpments are home to one of Australia's most diverse bird populations and also carry natural and cultural significance. You visit Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre and cruise along Kakadu's Yellow Water billabong remember to keep an eye out for the abundant wildlife, including crocodiles! After lunch you tour Nourlangie Rock to see well-preserved galleries of Aboriginal rock art. On the return to Darwin, view giant termite mounds and stop at 'Window on the Wetlands' for a glass of wine as you watch the sun set over the flood plains. Price from £75 per person, including lunch
Litchfield National Park
Tour D22 11 hrs Travel south from Darwin and ascend the rocky Tabletop Range where dry woodlands and forests dominate the huge sandstone plateau. Litchfield boasts spectacular scenery, monsoonal rainforests, spring-fed streams and waterfalls. Stop within the Park to view the intriguing giant magnetic termite mounds, some standing well over two metres tall. See the picturesque double waterfall forming over Florence Falls, surrounded by lush rainforest and cascading into a deep pool. Continue to Tolmer Falls, which cascades over two high escarpments and plunges into a deep waterhole below. Journey to the rock pool at Wangi Falls, where there is time for a refreshing swim (conditions permitting) in the crystal waters at the waterfall's base. Reboard the vehicle and return to Darwin. Katherine Gorge Cruise
Tour D23L 14 hrs Depart Darwin and stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, the resting place for many World War II soldiers. Continue to the Adelaide River Inn for breakfast (own expense) before continuing on to Edith Falls where there's time for a refreshing swim (conditions permitting). After lunch, enter Nitmiluk National Park, home to 13 stunning gorges. Stop by the Visitor Centre before joining your guided cruise between the sheer sandstone cliffs of Katherine Gorge. Hear commentary from your guide detailing the area's plant and wildlife and explaining the Aboriginal rock art, which adorns the walls of the gorge. Keep an eye out for crocodiles, turtles and and the splendid array of birdlife. Begin the return journey to Darwin, making an early evening stop for dinner.
