Kangaroo Island & The Coorong
Kangaroo Island's isolation and limited development have ensured an abundance of nature and wildlife. The island is reached by a scenic 30minute flight from Adelaide or via car then ferry from Cape Jervis at the southern tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula. The Coorong Wetlands is an inland sea of shallow lagoons that are home to the world's largest breeding colony of Australian pelicans and a temporary home for thousands of migratory birds.

· Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island, and a safe haven for wildlife such as koalas, kangaroo, wallaby, echidna and the New Zealand Fur Seal which is protected at Seal Bay. The little penguins are a great attraction, best seen in Penneshaw. · It's easy to access Kangaroo island from Adelaide. Either fly to Kingscote from Adelaide Airport or cross to Penneshaw by ferry from Adelaide port. · The island is a microcosm of different landscapes and environments. With stunning beaches, dunes, forests and farmland, there's a variety to see and we recommend a guided tour to make the most of your time.
