Departures: Wed, Sun Day 1: Melbourne - Phillip Island Depart Melbourne via the scenic Beach Road, travelling through Port Melbourne, St Kilda and beachside suburbs. Morning tea is enjoyed at The Rocks café overlooking the harbour with panoramic views across Port Phillip Bay. Then have a leisurely drive along the Mornington Peninsula to Arthurs Seat Lookout. Have lunch here and then head to Phillip Island, travelling via Willow Creek Vineyard to taste local wines. You are met on arrival at Phillip Island by a Park Ranger for a 2 hour guided tour of historic Churchill Island, the Koala Conservation Centre and The Nobbies Centre, where you can view hundreds of seals in their natural habitat. Have afternoon tea at The Nobbies prior to checking in at your Hotel before witnessing the magical march of the Penguins. (D) Overnight: Quest Apartments, Cowes, Phillip Island Day 2: Phillip Island - Apollo Bay Depart Phillip Island and travel via the Australian Garden at
Cranbourne. This amazing new garden highlights the beauty and diversity of the Australian landscape. The drive then takes you to via Flinders and Cape Schanck Scenic Drive, to Sorrento for the ferry across Port Phillip Bay to Queenscliff. After lunch, visit the Surf Shops in Torquay before heading along the Great Ocean Road for Angelsea and Lorne. Along the way, there is a short detour to Bells Beach then on to Apollo Bay. (BD) Overnight: Seafarers Apartments, Apollo Bay Day 3: Apollo Bay - Melbourne A leisurely start to the day includes time to explore the picturesque village of Apollo Bay before heading off along the Great Ocean Road. Visit the Otway Fly a 600 metre long tree-top canopy walk through magnificent rainforest of the spectacular Otway Ranges, before continuing to the famous Shipwreck Coast and Port Campbell National Park to view the Twelve Apostles. It is a short drive to Warrnambool for lunch before heading back inland to Melbourne. (B)
