Covering one third of the continent, Western Australia is the largest state in Australia; extending to a variety of landscapes and climates. Dominated by the desert to the east, Western Australia's westcoast is bound by 12,500km of the world's most pristine coastline. Perth a picturesque capital city, is the gateway to the region. With a sunny climate and nearly yearround blue sky, visitors are attracted to Western Australia time-after-time. Its real charm rests with the region's remarkable natural-phenomena, including the huge beehive-shaped mounds of the Bungle Bungles. · Due to its size and the wealth of things to do consider Western Australia as a destination in itself. Starting in Perth you can easily spend time exploring south to the Margaret River famed for its excellent wines or head north to the sandy beaches and tropical climate of Broome. Whichever you choose (or combine the lot!) one visit to Western Australia will never be enough. · Attractively set on the banks of the Swan River Perth is one of the most welcoming cities in Australia. Easy to explore with plenty to see and do. Don't miss Kings Park with its beautiful flowers in springtime. · Don't miss the dolphins at Monkey Mia, this rare experience is one of the most popular things to do in Western Australia. To be able to get close to genuinely wild dolphins is quite extraordinary.
