Perth
Perth is an attractive city located on the banks of the Swan River, and being just 20km from the Indian Ocean, is an ideal base for yachting and sailing. Vibrant and lively, Perth is full of shops and malls, and benefits from a fantastic climate. One of its highlights is Kings Park, home to the Botanical Gardens, famous for spring wildflower displays. For nightlife, Northbridge is the place to be, just north of the city, springing to life after sunset with popular restaurants, cafés and bars. Half-an-hour from Perth is the bustling seaport of Fremantle, where historic buildings and museums give an insight into Western Australia's heritage. Just offshore lies Rottnest Island, where you can dive and snorkel among the coral reefs which teem with marine life.
