Departures: Mon Day 1: Perth Monkey Mia Travel north to Port Denison and make a short stop for lunch. Continue past the unusual "leaning trees" to Peron Peninsula and the region of Shark Bay to Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, situated right on the beach where the dolphins come in. (LD) Overnight: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort Day 2: Monkey Mia Carnarvon Set out along the Peron Peninsula to interact with the wild bottlenose dolphins at Monkey Mia, who rarely miss a visit. After lunch, travel via Shell Beach, and see billions of tiny white shells stretching as far as the eye can see. Stop to view the ancient Stromatolites, the world's oldest living creatures, before continuing north. (BLD) Overnight: Hospitality Inn, Canarvon for two nights Day 3: Coral Bay Ningaloo Reef is one of the most accessible reefs in the world; stretching 260km along the coast it creates a sheltered lagoon inhabited by a rich and colourful array of sea life. There are exquisite corals and over 460 species of fish along with manta rays, dugong and dolphins. Choose from option one a 1.5hr cruise in a glass-bottom boat and option two a two hour snorkelling cruise to discover the reef's pristine beauty. (BD) Day 4: Carnarvon Kalbarri Head south and explore the deep red river gorges of Hawkes Head. Follow the dramatic coastal cliffs and view wildflowers in season (July to September) before arriving at Kalbarri. (BLD) Overnight: Best Western Kalbarri Palms Resort.
Manta Ray Adventure
Tour MRA 4 hrs Manta Rays spend their days feeding on plankton and krill. Snorkel and swim with these wonderfully graceful creatures as they dance through the water. Confident swimmers and snorkellers will find this half day tour simply magical. Prices from £60 per person
Monkey Mia
Day 5: Kalbarri Perth Journey via the spectacular coastal gorges of Kalbarri to Cervantes, gateway to the Pinnacles Desert, an amazing moon-like landscape and truly one of Australia's most mystical experiences. Humpback Whale Adventure

Day 1: Perth Geraldton (530km/329miles) Collect your car and drive north along the Brand Highway heading towards Geraldton. En route, it's only a short drive to the Pinnacles from Cervantes to see thousands of limestone stalagmite-like formations. Geraldton and the surrounding districts are noted for beautiful wild spring flowers and countryside. Standard: Comfort Inn Geraldton Superior: All Seasons Geraldton Day 2: Geraldton Monkey Mia (435km/270miles) Continue north today on Highway One to Monkey Mia. En-route don't miss a stop at the famous Hamelin Pool, home to ancient Stromatolites, the world's oldest living creatures! Then drive to Monkey Mia where your accommodation will be at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort
for the next two nights. Standard: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, (Garden Villa) Superior: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, (Beachfront Villa) Day 3: Monkey Mia Without doubt the major attraction is the almost daily visit of the dolphins that come in close to shore to be fed by visitors. For almost 40 years now, three generations of bottle-nosed dolphins have been visiting the beach. Day 4: Monkey Mia Kalbarri (401km/249miles) Time for a last-minute visit to the amazing dolphins before departing south for Kalbarri, a scenic coastal village on the estuary of the Murchison River. Day 5: Kalbarri Perth (591km/367miles) Follow the highway south into Geraldton then through the small towns of Mullewa, Morawa, Dalwallinu and Northam on your way back to Perth. Your car is booked until tomorrow and should be returned to the city or airport depots by the same time it was collected on day one to avoid any additional charges.
