Day 1: Vancouver - Vernon Meet your Tour Director at 7.30am this morning for an early departure, leaving the Pacific Coast behind to travel through the Okanagan Valley to Vernon. Overnight: Sandman Inn or Holiday Inn Day 2: Vernon - Banff National Park Travel today to the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The journey takes you past Craigellachie, a monument to where the `Last Spike' was driven into place linking Canada's east and west coast by rail. (CB) Overnight: Banff Aspen Lodge or High Country Inn Day 3: Banff National Park Today enjoy a sightseeing tour that details the region around Banff, explaining how it became Canada's first national park in 1885 to protect its natual hot springs. There is also the opportunity of an optional helicopter or gondola ride this afternoon. (CB) Day 4: Banff National Park - Jasper Leave Banff and travel via the incredible Icefields Parkway to Jasper. Enjoy a stop at the Athabasca Glacier where you will board a specially constructed `Ice Explorer' on to the centuries-old ice. (CB) Overnight: Lobstick Lodge or Tonquin Inn Day 5: Jasper - Prince George Join an optional tour this morning to Maligne Lake or simply enjoy your own free time. Afterwards, the tour travels back into British Columbia's Cariboo region and the town of Prince George.
