Day 1: Arrive Vancouver Upon arrival into Vancouver International Airport, make your own way to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this coastal gem. Standard: Pacific Palisades Superior: Marriott Pinnacle Hotel Deluxe: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Day 2: Vancouver Discover Vancouver on a morning tour taking in the sights of historic Gastown, Chinatown, Stanley Park and the beautiful Sunken Gardens. Day 3: Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops Make your own way to the train station and embark on an unforgettable journey onboard the Rocky Mountaineer through the majestic landscape of Western Canada. Enjoy the excellent RedLeaf services on offer (see page 24 for full details). (BL) Overnight: Kamloops Hotel, to be advised locally (assigned by Rocky Mountaineer). Please note that Kamloops does not offer superior/deluxe hotels, but all featured properties promise a comfortable stay with all modern amenities. Day 4: Rocky Mountaineer to Banff Today, relish the spectacle of snow-capped peaks, vividly coloured lakes, glistening glaciers and alpine meadows as the train traverses the national parks of Glacier, Yoho and Banff. Arrive into Banff late afternoon and check in to your chosen hotel for the next two nights. (BL) Standard: Banff Aspen Lodge Superior: Banff Park Lodge (or similar) Deluxe: Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel Day 5: Banff National Park Spend the day at leisure in picturesque Banff, in the shadow of Mount Norquay, or explore the park along its vast network of hiking and horseback riding trails. Day 6: Banff Jasper Travel north along the famous Icefields Parkway into the untamed wilderness of Jasper National Park. Every turn unveils spectacular vistas of indomitable peaks, outstretched valleys, cascading waterfalls and colourful meadows. At the Columbia Icefield take the opportunity to tour onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier on board a thrilling Ice Explorer. Arrive into Jasper in the afternoon and check into your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. Standard: Tonquin Inn (or similar) Superior: Jasper Inn (or similar) Deluxe: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Day 7: Jasper National Park Enjoy some time in the resort town of Jasper, which still boasts an intriguing frontier identity. Venture into Jasper National Park and hike past serene lakes below jagged mountain peaks, or ride the Skytram and relish the commanding views of the surrounding mountain range.

Day 8: VIA Rail The Skeena Train to Prince George Today, embark on a memorable rail journey across British Columbia's Cariboo region to the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Pass the cloud-veiled peak of Mount Robson and watch the horizons widen as the train descends from the Rockies onto the rugged interior plateau. (LD) Standard: Days Inn (or similar) Superior & Deluxe: Coast Inn (or similar) Day 9: VIA Rail The Skeena Train to Prince Rupert Continuing west, enjoy the rugged beauty and pioneering character of a landscape once solely travelled by First Nation people and fur traders as the train meanders its way through spectacular canyons and open valleys in the presence of ever-present mountain ridges. (CB,L,D) Standard: Pacific Inn (or similar) Superior & Deluxe: Crest Motor Hotel (or similar) Day 10: Inside Passage Cruise to Port Hardy Welcome to the glorious Inside Passage, a paradise for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts. Sail to Vancouver Island through a maze of enchanting islands, relishing the ever-changing vistas of deep fjords, densely forested shorelines and jagged inlets. Watch bald eagles soaring overhead as whales traverse the offshore waters. Overnight: Port Hardy Inn (or similar)
Days 11 & 12: Port Hardy Victoria Travel down through the forest-clad mountains and interior, passing charming fishing villages, en-route to Victoria, British Columbia's provincial capital where you will spend the next two nights. The next day is free to explore this enchanting, friendly and historic colonial city. Standard: Executive Suite Hotel Superior: Delta Ocean Pointe Deluxe: Fairmont Empress Hotel Day 13: Victoria Vancouver This morning explore the streets of this unique city before boarding your floatplane transfer back to Vancouver. Enjoy a bird's-eye view of the city's skyline before a thrilling landing on water. Tonight, Vancouver is yours to explore.
