Calgary
Calgary, the southern gateway to the Rockies, is a friendly and welcoming city, located where Alberta's prairies meet the mountains. It is a city that offers a wide range of attractions, upscale shopping, diverse cultural traditions and fine local and international cuisine. Calgary, as well as being known for hosting the 1988 Winter Olympics, is famous for the annual Calgary Stampede, which showcases all the thrills of the rodeo world. The Stampede is the biggest show of its kind, but also features amusement rides, chuckwagon racing and First Nations exhibits. Whilst notable as the gateway to the Rockies, Calgary's own attractions such as the Calgary Tower, Canada Olympic Park and Eau Claire Market should not be overlooked.

Show Dates Jul 04-13 Should you wish not to take advantage of our Stampede Extravaganza package, but still wish to experience the Stampede we can pre-book admission tickets for all Stampede events. Each afternoon sees a showcase of world class rodeo action. Rodeo events include Saddle Bronc, Bareback Riding and the most exciting and dangerous of the events - Bull Riding. In the evening it's time for the Chuckwagon Races. Each evening there are nine heart-stopping races, each involving four chuckwagons and 16 horses. Balcony Level Seating - afternoon rodeo from £17 per person, evening show from £23 per person. Main Level Seating - afternoon rodeo from £20 per person, evening show from £28 per person. Please note that small supplements apply on Jul 12/13 (afternoon rodeo & evening show).

Departures: 03Jul08-11Jul08 Day 1: Arrive Calgary On arrival into Calgary make your own way to your chosen hotel, where you will receive your tickets and documentation. The remainder of your day is at leisure for you to explore Calgary. Standard: Ramada Downtown Hotel Superior: Delta Bow Valley Deluxe: Fairmont Palliser Days 2 & 3: Calgary Stampede Welcome to the Calgary Stampede, where you can experience the world of saddle bronc, calf roping, steer wrestling and bull-riding. Other activities at the Stampede include amusement rides, chuckwagon races and evening entertainment. Day 4: Depart Calgary Upon check out of your hotel your tour comes to an end.
