Calgary Calgary, the southern gateway to the Rockies, is a friendly and welcoming city, located where Alberta's prairies meet the mountains. It is a city that offers a wide range of attractions, upscale shopping, diverse cultural traditions and fine local and international cuisine. The Stampede is the biggest show of its kind, but also features amusement rides, chuckwagon racing and First Nations exhibits. Whilst notable as the gateway to the Rockies, Calgary's own attractions such as the Calgary Tower, Canada Olympic Park and Eau Claire Market should not be overlooked.
