Great Bear Lodge
Departures: Daily from Juneau (15May-15Sep) Day 1: Arrive Juneau On arrival in Juneau, the small community that serves as Alaska's capital, make your own way to the hotel and check in for a three-night stay. The remainder of the day is at leisure for independent exploration. Overnight: Westmark Baranof Day 2: Wildlife Adventure Cruise Experience the abundant bird and marine life of South East Alaska aboard a unique exploration vessel specially designed for up-close wildlife viewing. Look out for the orca and humpback whales, porpoises, seals and sea lions, that thrive in these protected waters. Later, stretch your legs on a secluded forest trail before returning to Juneau in the late afternoon. Day 3: Admiralty Island Bear Viewing Depart from Juneau by floatplane for the 30-minute flight to Admiralty Island for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to observe brown bears with an experienced guide. Walk
along the beaches, creek beds and tidal flats where bears can be seen feeding on salmon and exposed marine life. Late this afternoon, return to Juneau by floatplane. Day 4: Depart Juneau The tour comes to an end on check-out from your hotel.

Access From price below includes return transfers, usually via seaplane (weather permitting), between Port Hardy on Vancouver Island and Great Bear Lodge. Flights can also be pre-booked to fly between Vancouver and Port Hardy (and vice-versa), price from £234 per person, return. Grizzly Bears Adventure at Knight Inlet Lodge

Departures: Daily, 17May-24Jul & 01Aug-17Oct Day 1: Arrive Campbell River On arrival into Campbell River, known as the "Salmon Capital of the World", transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight: Heron's Landing Hotel Day 2: Campbell River Knight Inlet Lodge This morning's transfer takes you to the floatplane docks for your scenic flight to Knight Inlet, your eco-adventure destination. One of the largest fjords on the British Columbia mainland coast, Knight Inlet is a wild and remote area offering spectacular scenery amidst steep cliffs that plummet into the deep blues and greens of the glacial-fed water. The rustic Knight Inlet Lodge is tucked into Glendale Cove which offers one of the few protected anchorages in the inlet and is home to a large concentration of grizzly bears. On arrival at the floating lodge you will receive a welcome orientation on bear viewing and by mid-afternoon you will take a boat cruise from the lodge. In spring/early summer viewing is from a boat so you will be within 50m of the shore where the bears feed,
and in autumn you will observe these amazing animals from secure platforms. (LD) Overnight: Knight Inlet lodge Day 3: Knight Inlet Lodge (or Departure to Campbell River) Guests who take the three-day package will depart after breakfast this morning. Those that have chosen to spend another day at the lodge will again go out into the realm of the grizzly bear. Apart from further bear-viewing, either from the boats or the secured platforms, there are many other activities available, including kayaking and bald eagle viewing. (BLD) Day 4: Knight Inlet Lodge Campbell River After breakfast you will depart by floatplane back to Campbell River, where a transfer has been included to take you back to your hotel so you may collect the rest of your luggage and, where your incredible trip comes to an end.
