Spectacular Northern Lights 4 Days from £556 Glacier Bay National Park 2 Days from £299 McKinley Explorer & Denali National Park 3 Days from £450 Departures: Daily from Whitehorse (01Jan-15Apr & 20Aug31Dec) Day 1: Arrive Whitehorse - Marsh Lake After arriving into Whitehorse Airport, join your 40-minute transfer along the shores of beautiful Marsh Lake to Inn on the Lake. Renowned for its fabulous cuisine and extensive menu, which features plenty of local fare, the Inn also has a picturesque setting. (D) Overnight: Inn on the Lake Days 2 & 3: Aurora (Northern Lights) Viewing The Yukon Territory provides a spectacular backdrop for outdoor activities and, during the day, you'll get to experience some of its larger than life adventures which include dog-sledding, snowmobiling, hiking and mountain biking. After a day of outdoor activities, take your place on the expansive deck of the Inn, or lounge near the fireplace, to observe unparalleled aurora views. Departures: Daily from Juneau, Skagway or Haines (24May04Sep) Day 1: Juneau, Skagway or Haines - Glacier Bay Catch a scenic flight from your chosen point of departure over the magnificent Inside Passage to the small community of Gustavus, and transfer to your accommodation, which boasts the awesome Fairweather Mountain Range as its backdrop. The afternoon is free to enjoy national park talks, or for optional adventure activities such as fishing or sea kayaking. Overnight: Glacier Bay Lodge Day 2: Glacier Bay - Juneau, Skagway or Haines Today has been set aside for an superb eight-hour cruise into Glacier Bay National Park, which was created to protect no fewer than 16 tidewater glaciers and 30 alpine glaciers. Cruising up the west arm of Glacier Bay, you'll approach the towering faces of the Margerie and Grand Pacific Glaciers, and perhaps see 200-year old ice calving into the pure waters of the bay. Several whale species inhabit the bay, including killer, minke and humpback, whilst seals and otters can also be spotted playing near the shore. This evening, return by air to your chosen point of departure, where your tour comes to an end. An overnight stay is recommended, please ask for details. Juneau Departures - price per person from £299 (twin share). Skagway or Haines Departures - price per person from £359 (twin share). Departures: Daily from Anchorage (17May-14Sep) Day 1: Arrive Anchorage On arrival at Anchorage Airport you will be met and transferred to your downtown hotel. Anchorage is by far the largest city in Alaska, and offers an intriguing blend of urban modernity but with a sense that the wilderness is never far away. This afternoon you can choose from a host of optional activities, or explore the city at your own pace. Overnight: Westmark Anchorage or Anchorage Hilton Day 2: Anchorage - Denali National Park Journey through the agricultural Matanuska Valley, between the Alaska and Talkeetna mountain ranges, aboard the luxury McKinley Explorer domed rail cars - an incomparable sightseeing experience. On arrival in Denali National Park, you have a choice of optional activities from which to choose including river rafting, horse riding or helicopter flightseeing. Overnight: McKinley Chalets (or similar) Day 3: Denali National Park - Anchorage This morning, partake in one of the activities led by the national park staff, or enjoy further optional sightseeing such as guided hikes. Re-board the McKinley Explorer to re-trace your journey back to Anchorage where your tour ends on arrival. Guests extending their stay enjoy a complimentary transfer back to their downtown hotel.
