Next, head to the Medicine Lake viewpoint, for amazing views of the Colin and Queen Elizabeth Ranges. A one and a half hour cruise on Maligne Lake gives you the opportunity to view the magnificent shoreline with dense forests and glacial peaks that rise from the water's edge. Be sure to take some pictures of Spirit Island, one of the most photographed islands in the Rockies. On your return journey to Jasper, watch out for the local wildlife, including bears, deer, moose, wolves, coyotes and even eagles which are regularly spotted in the vicinity. Whitewater Rafting from Jasper
Departures Daily 15May-10Oct Duration 2.5 hours This is an ideal introduction to whitewater rafting. Travelling 9 kms, you'll encounter many class II rapids. Wet suits and life jackets are provided. Price from £29 per adult, £15 per child (6-12yrs). Children under 6 years are not accepted.
