Whistler
The fabulous resort of Whistler is two hours from Vancouver and can be reached easily along the scenic Sea to Sky' Highway or, during the summer months, via a relaxing rail trip on the Whistler Mountaineer. Whistler's alpinestyle, traffic-free resort centre is alive year-round with entertainment and festivals and a great choice of bars, restaurants and shopping. In summer, the choice of outdoor activities ranges from hiking and mountain biking, to canoeing and golf. In winter the resort transforms into one of North America's premier ski resorts and this is duly noted by the fact that, with nearby Vancouver, it will host the 2010 Winter Olympics.
