This shorter duration tour provides the perfect overview of Churchill for anyone with less time to spare, and of the magnificent creatures for which it is famous. Departures: Oct 11, 18, 22. Day 1: Arrive Winnipeg On arrival in Winnipeg please make your own way to your hotel for an overnight stay. The remainder of your time in Winnipeg is at leisure. Overnight: Sheraton Four Points, Winnipeg Airport Day 2: Winnipeg - Churchill Meet your Frontiers North representative at Winnipeg Airport this morning before boarding your flight to Churchill, where you will be met on arrival by an experienced guide and taken to the Tundra Buggy launch area. For the rest of the day enjoy time observing the magnificent Polar Bear in its natural environment. The Tundra Buggy is speciallyequipped to traverse the ice and snow without causing damage to the natural environment. (L) Overnight: Local B&B or hotel, Churchill Day 3: Polar Bear Viewing (Churchill - Winnipeg) Enjoy a full day of polar bear viewing aboard the remarkable Tundra Buggy' sightseeing vehicles. These extraordinary animals congregate each autumn in Churchill to wait for Hudson Bay to freeze over, hunting for seals to provide sustenance to see them through the winter. This classic, in-depth polar bear adventure incorporates three nights in Churchill, with time to explore the town and two full days of polar bear viewing aboard the famous Tundra Buggies. Departures: Oct 7, 10, 27. Nov 6, 9. Day 1: Arrive Winnipeg On arrival into Winnipeg, make your own way to your downtown hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is free to explore Manitoba's capital city. Overnight: Fort Garry Hotel Day 2: Winnipeg - Churchill Your tour starts today with a lunchtime transfer to Winnipeg Airport for your flight to Churchill, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your accommodation for a three-night stay. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and orientation briefing.(BD) Overnight: Churchill Motel or Bear Country Inn Day 3: Polar Bear Viewing Enjoy your first day of polar bear viewing aboard one of the famous 'Tundra Buggies', unique vehicles which are specially-adapted for the local conditions. forms with other wildlife species. Enjoy unrestricted views from the platform on the rear of the Tundra Buggy. After a farewell dinner, you will be transferred to the airport this evening for your return flight to Winnipeg, and on arrival, back to your downtown hotel.
