Dubai & Western Australia
14 Days Dubai - Perth - Dubai
Days 1-4: Dubai This classic two-week city break and touring combination is offered in conjunction with Emirates Airlines, whose flight route from London to Perth, via Dubai, is one of the quickest ways to reach Australia. Start with four nights in Dubai, where we recommend one of the beach-front hotels along Jumeirah Beach (pages 16-23). There's plenty to see and do, including shopping, sightseeing and worldclass golf, but you might just want to recharge your batteries amidst the luxurious surroundings of your hotel. Days 5-8: Perth Perth is one of the most remote big cities on earth, and as the state capital it makes a great introduction to Western Australia. Ask for our 'Essential Perth' city package, which includes three nights accommodation at a choice of hotels, shuttle transfers from the airport, a half-day city sightseeing tour including a cruise on the Swan River and a visit to the historic seaside resort of Fremantle. 12 Days Abu Dhabi - Johannesburg
Days 1-4: Abu Dhabi This great holiday focuses on South Africa, and features the ideal combination of city break, resort stay and game viewing. It starts though with a gentle introduction to Arabia by way of a three-night stay in Abu Dhabi, a glittering modern city where brilliant blue mosques, intricate souks and thrilling camel races provide links to the rich traditions of the past. Days 5-7: Johannesburg Fly from Abu Dhabi into bustling Johannesburg and immerse yourself in the shops and restaurants of the trendy northern suburbs. On your free day in the city, we recommend a guided tour of Soweto Township, which gives a glimpse into black South African culture, and tells the story of the recent struggle to end apartheid.. Days 7-9: Madikwe Game Reserve Transfer by air or road to the stunning Madikwe Game Reserve, which comprises vast plains, rocky hills and open woodlands.
