Oman
Originating from centuries-old civilisation, the Sultanate of Oman is a traditional yet modern state, discreetly unfolding its myriad of unique facets. Surrounded by mountains, deserts and the Arabian Sea, you'll discover a haven of architectural and cultural treasures. The historic forts are reminiscent of Oman's rich heritage and the souks seem to come right out of Arabian Nights with their dazzling array of delights. Oman's capital Muscat is the commercial and cultural hub, and home to the Sultan's magnificent palace, flanked by the majestic forts of Jalali and Mirani. Salalah, to the south, is a tropical haven fringed by coral reefs, crystal-clear waters and coconut groves, while the old town of Nizwa is known for its colourful souks.
