Departures: Daily (min 2 pax) Day 1: Arrive Bali On arrival at Bali's Denpasar Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen beach hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore the local area. Superior: Puri Santrian, Sanur Deluxe: Bali Intercontinental, Jimbaran Bay Day 2: Bali Beach Hotel Banyuwedang, NorthWest Bali Today depart from your beach hotel and escape to the heart of the Balinese countryside. Walk through the terraced rice fields and relax at Guligan Village where you will learn about Balinese cuisine and try your hand at creating a dish. This afternoon journey north-west to your resort situated in Banyuwedang close to Barat National Park and the famous dive site of Menjangan Island. The coral reefs surrounding this unpopulated island are said to be some of the best in the archipelago. This afternoon travel across the scenic north coast to Lovina. Day 4: Lovina Candidasa Wake early to join a dolphin watching tour. After breakfast visit Kintamani village located on the rim of Mount Batur Volcano, rest for lunch and take in the spectacular views of the crater and lake. This afternoon visit Bali's biggest temple complex, Pura Besakih, a fascinating site with its sculpted stone work and colourful prayer flags. (BL) Superior: Rama Candidasa Hotel Deluxe: Alila Manggis Day 5: Candidasa, East Coast Bali Today explore Bali's east coast with visits to Ujung Karangasem to view the ancient ruins of former palaces and the sleepy village of Tirta Gangga. The rest of your day is at leisure to relax. (B) Day 6: Candidasa Ubud After a morning at leisure depart this afternoon to journey inland to Bali's artistic and cultural capital, Ubud. Enroute stop to see the Royal Court of Justice, Kertha Gosa, in Klungkung town, before arriving this evening into Ubud and your chosen hotel. (B) Superior: Komaneka Resort Deluxe: Alila Ubud Day 7: Ubud This morning's sightseeing tour will introduce you to bustling and charming Ubud town, visit Ubud Palace, art shops, a museum and the local market. The rest of today is at leisure to relax at your charming resort. (B)
Day 8-10: Ubud Nusa Dua Check out of your Ubud hotel at midday and make your journey back towards Bali's south coast and the beautiful beach resort of Nusa Dua. Enroute stop at the intricately carved Temple of Mengwi, dating back to 1634. Continue on to the sacred Monkey Forest, home to hundreds of native monkeys, then the last stop is Tanah Lot where you will watch the sunset over this dramatic 16th century temple. Check into your chosen Nusa Dua hotel and enjoy your last days of in Bali relaxing by the pool before transferring to Denpasar Airport on your final day. Day 1: Bali beach hotel Surabaya You will be picked up this morning and transferred to the airport for a morning flight to Surabaya. On arrival your guide will take you to the Arab Quarter, flower market and Kalimas Harbour before driving to Sukapura village and checking into the Grand Bromo Hotel. Set in ten acres of landscaped gardens and around an attractive free-form swimming pool, the hotel offers deluxe rooms. Accommodation: Grand Bromo Hotel Day 2: Mount Bromo Surabaya Your tour to Mount Bromo commences at 03.30am with a drive to Ngadisari, followed by a pony ride across the sea of sand to reach Mount Bromo. Climb to the crater's rim and enjoy a magnificent sunrise (weather permitting), then have breakfast in a local restaurant and drive back to check into the Novotel Surabaya. (B)
Day 3: Surabaya Yogyakarta Transfer to the railway station to board the `Sancaka' train (Executive Class) to Yogyakarta. This four and a half hour journey will take you through the interesting Javanese countryside. After arriving in Yogyakarta, spend the afternoon visiting the amazing Prambanan Temple, the most elegant Hindu Temple complex in Indonesia. (B) Accommodation: Novotel Yogyakarta Day 4: Yogyakarta Borobudur Bali After breakfast, visit the Sultan's Palace before stopping at Borobudur, one of the most impressive Buddhist shrines in South East Asia. Admire the beautifully carved stone temples and Buddha images before transferring to the airport for your afternoon flight to Bali. On arrival in Bali you will be transferred back to your chosen hotel. (B)
