Departures: Selected Tuesdays Day 1: Arrive Phnom Penh On arrival into Phnom Penh you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a two night stay. Standard: Hotel Cambodiana Deluxe: Raffles Hotel Le Royal Day 2: Phnom Penh City Tour Today meet with your guide to explore the city of Phnom Penh and learn about its turbulent past and its future plans for reinvention. Sightseeing highlights include the National Museum showcasing Angkorian statues, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda housing a Golden Buddha encrusted with more than 9000 diamonds. (B) Day 3: Siem Reap & Tonle Sap This morning transfer to the airport for a short onward flight to Siem Reap. This afternoon join a cruise on the beautiful Tonle Sap freshwater lake, the lifeblood of Cambodia. Pass by floating villages boasting their own schools and hospitals and learn about the local way of life. (B) Standard: Day Inn Angkor & Resort Deluxe: Raffles Grand Hotel d'Angkor Day 4: The Temples of Angkor Today we begin our exploration of the magnificent Temples of Angkor by watching the majestic sunrise over Angkor Wat. A guided tour of the central chambers and many corridors reveal an insight in to the ancient traditions and beliefs that are the basis of this vast temple complex. Other temples visited include the Bayon Temple, Banteay Srei and Ta Prohm. (B) Day 5: Saigon This morning transfer to Siem Reap airport for your flight to Saigon, on arrival you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for a 3-night stay and the rest of the day is at leisure (B) Standard: Duxton Hotel Deluxe: Sheraton Saigon Day 6: Saigon City Tour & Cu Chi Tunnels The bustle and excitement of Saigon is a whole new world. See Chinatown and the huge Binh Tay Market, then famous sites such as the former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Rue Catinat. Explore the complex tunnel system built by Guerrilla soldiers at Cu Chi, providing a remarkable insight into the determination of communist forces during the Vietnam War. (B)

Day 7: The Mekong Delta Today journey south from Saigon to the fertile lands of the Mekong Delta region with its rural and lush scenery. Travel by boat through some of the many canals and visit one of the islands to sample local fruits. (B) Day 8: Hoi An Arrive in to Hoi An this morning from your flight from Saigon. The beautiful town of Hoi An was Vietnam's most active trading centre and much of its original architecture reflecting foreign influence remains preserved today. Take a walking tour of this enchanting town, visiting an old merchant house, the Hoi An Museum and the Japanese Covered Bridge. (B) Standard: Hoi An Trails Resort Deluxe: Life Heritage Resort Day 9: Hoi An Much of today is at leisure to enjoy the town and its beaches. Late afternoon, board a river boat to enjoy a relaxing cruise along the Thu Bon River. This evening you have the option of joining the group for a cooking class. (B) Day 10: Hue From Hoi An travel north by road to Hue. Enroute stop at the caves of the Marble Mountains and view the beautiful China Beach. Drive through the spectacular Hai Van Pass, a drive considered to be one of the most beautiful in Vietnam with rural and coastal settings. On arrival in Hue visit the tombs of Emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. (B) Standard: Saigon Morin Deluxe: La Residence Hotel & Spa Day 11: Hue City Tour Vietnam's former capital city throughout the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue is beautifully located on the banks of the Perfume River. Today visit the impressive home of the Nguyen Dynasty Emperors - the Citadel and Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue oldest religious monument. In the afternoon enjoy a boat ride up the Perfume River to the little visited tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. (B) Day 12: Hanoi This morning fly to Hanoi, Vietnam's political and historical capital city. Sightseeing highlights include The Temple of Literature dating back to 1070, `Hanoi Hilton' the former prison of US Air Force pilots captured during the Vietnam War, Ho Chi Minh Quarter and the Presidential Palace. Finish with an evening performance of Hanoi's famed water puppets. (B) Standard: Sunway Hotel Deluxe: Sofitel Metropole
Day 13: Halong Bay Set off this morning to the stunning Halong Bay where you will take a magical four hour cruise amongst the beautiful island outcrops and enjoy a seafood lunch on board. (BL) Day 14: Vientiane After arriving from your flight into Vientiane join an afternoon tour of Laos' capital city set on the banks of the Mekong River. Take part in a `baci' welcoming ceremony, visit the exquisite Wat Sisaket, Vientiane's oldest temple, explore Haw Pha Kaew the former royal temple, Patuxai Monument and Pha That Luang. (B) Standard: Novotel Vientiane Deluxe: Settha Palace Day 15: Luang Prabang This morning transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Luang Prabang, Laos' most beautiful and engaging city. Join your guide to visit a sample of the city's most exquisite temples, including Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai. Explore town by fun `tuk tuk', chat with a monk and meet the local inhabitants of a nearby village to learn about their traditional handicrafts. (B) Standard: Sala Prabang Deluxe: La Residence Phou Vou Day 16-18: Luang Prabang Your final few days in Luang Prabang include rising early to view robed Buddhist monks collecting alms, a visit to the Pak Ou Caves, time to swim and relax at the Kuang Si Waterfalls and a fun cooking class, which will teach you a little about Lao culinary delights. Your tour will end on the morning of day 18 with a transfer from your hotel to Luang Prabang airport for an onward flight. (B)
