Day 1: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves - Pakbeng Depart Luang Prabang on the Luang Say riverboat this morning for a relaxing cruise up the Mekong River whilst enjoying a continental breakfast. Pass by the tropical riverbank scenery before arriving at Pak Ou Village where you will visit the Tam Ting `Cave of a Thousand Buddha's'. Continue your journey on to Pakbeng where lunch will be served and you will visit a hilltribe village to watch the traditional process of whiskey production. At sunset arrive at the charming Luang Say Eco-lodge ready for dinner on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River. (BLD) Accommodation: Luang Say Eco-lodge Day 2: Pakbeng - Houei Say, Thailand After breakfast board the boat to begin the second part of your cruise. Stop enroute to observe the rural life of the river tribes along the Mekong. Continue onwards to Houei Say immigration point on the Laos/Thailand border where you will disembark and your tour ends. From here we recommend continuing your travels onward to Northern Thailand and are able to provide transfers to our nearby Chiang Rai and Golden Triangle properties (see pages 2729 for further information).
