Essential Tokyo
Tokyo's skyline
Day 1: Arrive Tokyo On arrival into Tokyo Narita International Airport make your way to the airport coach counter and be directed to your bus and transferred to your chosen hotel for a three night stay. Settle in to the hotel and explore the surrounding area of this magnificent city. Standard: Shiba Park Hotel Superior: Courtyard By Marriott, Ginza Deluxe: Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo Day 2: Tokyo sightseeing Today enjoy a full day of sightseeing, exploring the new and ancient attractions of Tokyo. The tour includes a visit to the observation platform of Tokyo Tower, providing ample photo opportunities, the ancient Meiji Shrine for the finest example of Japanese architecture, a stroll through the East Garden of the Imperial Palace and Ginza shopping district before relaxing over a traditional Japanese lunch. The afternoon is spent enjoying a cruise on the River Sumida,
visiting Asakusa Kannon Temple and undertaking a spot of shopping and bargaining in the popular Ueno and Akihabara shopping areas. (L) Day 3: Mount Fuji & Hakone On your third day you will set off towards the spectacular Mount Fuji, travelling towards the fifth station at an altitude of 8,000 feet (lower in the winter months) for a stunning view over the Pacific Ocean. After lunch, continue to Hakone National Park where the four-kilometre cable car affords breathtaking panoramic views of the volcanic Hakone Mountains, providing perfect picture taking opportunities, followed by a cruise on the peaceful Lake Ashi. Travel back to Tokyo Station on Japan's famous bullet train where the rest of the evening is free for you to continue to explore the city. (L) Day 4: Depart Tokyo Today is at leisure until a bus transfer back to the airport for your onward journey.

1 Day Mount Fuji & Hakone
Duration 9 hours, daily (excluding public holidays) Set off this morning and admire the stunning scenery of rural Japan as you drive towards the spectacular Mount Fuji, travelling towards the fifth station at an altitude of 8,000 feet (lower in the winter months) for a stunning view over the Pacific Ocean. After lunch continue on to Hakone National Park where the four-kilometre cable car affords breathtaking panoramic views of the volcanic Hakone Mountains, providing perfect picture taking opportunities. Visit Owakudani Boiling Valley, an ancient crater producing clouds of steam, followed by a Pirate Boat Cruise on the peaceful Lake Ashi. You have the choice of returning back to Tokyo either by coach or on Japan's famous bullet train. Guests choosing to travel by train will end their tour upon arrival into Tokyo station, whilst the coach option will drop you off at a selection of central Tokyo hotels. Nara Afternoon Tour

There are two classes of travel, Standard and First-Class, and the pass can be used an unlimited number of times on almost all networks including the bullet train (excluding Nozomi trains).
