Differing in size, character and ambience to sister resort Soneva Fushi, Soneva Gili was the Maldives' first island resort dedicated to over-water bungalows. Located on one of the largest lagoons, Lankanfushi itself is a small and intimate atoll. The majority of villas are set like satellites radiating from 3 wooden jetties. Soneva Gili Villa Suites offer an open-air bathroom and living area, rooftop sun terrace and an over-water deck providing direct access to the turquoise lagoon beneath. Secluded Soneva Gili Residences also boast a large living room that can be converted into an additional bedroom if necessary, and a kitchenette. For the ultimate escape, Crusoe Residences are only accessible by rowing boat or pontoon vessel and are the pinnacle of privacy and luxury.

A 45 minute sea-plane flight north of Malé takes you to Raa Atoll. Spread over this 43 acre lush island is Meedhupparu Island Resort. The island has an excellent beach surrounding it, and a large lagoon area, which is ideal for water sports. Although it is one of the larger resorts all beach bungalows do have a sea view. Accommodation is provided on an all-inclusive basis which in our opinion makes Meedhupparu one of the best value resorts in the Maldvies. Early booking is essential for this resort as rooms here are in high demand.
