Star Cruises have a large, modern fleet of traditional-style cruise lines serving several routes in the Far East. The Super Star Virgo, which was built in 1999, operates 3 or 5 night cruises with departures from Singapore, whereas Super Star Gemini offers an interesting 7 night cruise, including additional stops in Krabi (Thailand) and Langkawi (Malaysia). Sailing dates of the three popular cruises are most weeks on Sundays.

Accommodation on Board
1000 cabins on the Super Star Virgo can accommodate approximately 2000 passengers, whereas the passenger capacity of the Super Star Gemini is approximately 800. All cabins are air-conditioned with private shower and toilet and have been lavishly designed and furnished with comfort and luxury in mind. Some are twin-and doublebedded and there are also cabins that can accommodate three or four people in Pullman style berths.

Settle into your cabin and explore the ship before enjoying dinner whilst cruising along the Malaysian coastline towards Langkawi. Monday: Penang Spend the day exploring the scenic island of Penang. Visit the islands capital Georgetown and take a ride in a rickshaw around fascinating Chinatown. Tuesday: Phuket Arrive into Phuket and sample the beaches the island has to offer and explore Patong or Phuket Town. Wednesday: At Sea brief stop in Singapore At sea. Brief stop in Singapore for 3-night cruise passengers to disembark. Thursday: Port Klang Arrive early morning into Malacca and take an optional excursion or carry on to Port Klang. Enjoy an optional tour of Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpur. Visit the major highlights and experience the exotic blend of cultures. Friday: Singapore Arrive back into Singapore early afternoon and disembark the ship.
Please note that the itineraries for cruises departing 13Apr-21Sep08 on the SS Virgo will slightly change. Instead the ship will visit Phuket on Monday then Penang on Tuesday.

Sunday: Singapore Embark in the afternoon, settle into your cabin and explore the ship before your 6pm departure. Monday: Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) Arrive into Port Klang and enjoy an optional tour of Kuala Lumpur and its major highlights. Tuesday: Langkawi Spend a day in Langkawi, the largest of a group of 104 islands off the Malaysian coast with beautiful rural scenery, splendid beaches and crystal clear waters. Wednesday: Krabi Phuket Early morning arrival into Krabi, famous for its turquoise sea and spectacular limestone cliffs soaring out of the ocean. Continue to Phuket in the early evening. Thursday: Phuket At leisure in Phuket, one of Thailand's most popular islands with fine beaches and lush green hills. Friday: Penang Continue to Penang and explore the capital Georgetown and take a ride in a rickshaw around Chinatown. Saturday: At Sea brief stop in Kuala Lumpur At sea - short stop in Port Klang (KL) in the afternoon. Sunday: Singapore Arrive into Singapore early morning and disembark at 9am.
Facilities on Board
There are several excellent indoor and al-fresco food and beverage outlets aboard the cruise ships serving Asian and International delicacies, as well as a number of bars where you can enjoy a great selection of wines and exotic cocktails. For your nightly entertainment, there are a few lounges available, as well as a cinema and nightclub on board the Super Star Virgo. The cruise ships also have a swimming pool and gym for the more active and children are well catered for by a supervised childcare centre with playroom.
