Built in 1991, 360ft long and cruising under 36,000 square feet of sail, Star Clipper carries only 170 guests and 72 crew, and offers a wide range of on board facilities. The Star Clipper operates a 7 night cruise from Phuket and visits a myriad of islands unknown to larger vessels as well as the bigger Malaysian islands of Penang and Langkawi.

All 84 cabins have ensuite shower and WC facilities, aircon and TV (no TV in Category 6). There are twin and double-bedded cabins and some can accommodate a third person sharing. Categories 2-5 have portholes and Category 1 has single way glass picture windows.

Sunday: Batong Group Close to Langkawi in Malaysia, these islands have stunning rock formations, beautiful beaches and clear seas. Monday: Penang, Malaysia Penang's capital Georgetown, still bears traces of its colonial past and Kek Lok Si Temple is one of the finest Buddhist temples in Asia. Tuesday: Ko Lipe A delightful island with a beautiful kilometre long beach and an authentic Thai fishing village - Chao Le. Wednesday: Ko Khai Nok Khai Nok offers stunning views of Phuket's coastline and the island's beaches and surrounding waters are perfect for watersports and teeming with marine life. Thursday: Phang Nga & Ko Hong Superb coral reefs, colourful fish and wonderful white sandy beaches are characteristic of this attractive area. Friday: Similan Islands The tropical Similan Islands nestle in the Andaman Sea just north of Phuket and are world-renowned amongst divers. Saturday: Phuket - Disembark by 9.30pm

Sunday: Surin Islands A National Park since 1981 these five islands provide an excellent opportunity for snorkelling and diving. Monday: Similan Islands Truly beautiful islands just north of Phuket with contrasting scenery of dramatic limestone cliffs and sandy beaches. Tuesday: Hin Daeng, Ko Rok Nok & Ko Muk Three of 15 islands including Ko Rok Nok with its white sand beach and crescent-shaped bay. Wednesday: Langkawi, Malaysia A large island with beautiful rural scenery - paddy fields contoured into limestone hillsides and lush tropical forests. Thursday: Phi Phi Islands Two small and picturesque islands Phi Phi Don, the larger of the two, is more developed with superb sandy beaches, Phi Phi Leh is smaller with magnificent limestone caves. Friday: Phang Nga & Ko Khai Nok Phang Nga provides spectacular scenery with its sheer sided mountains rising out of the bay. Khai Nok offers idyllic beaches, clear blue sea and amazing marine life. Saturday: Phuket - Disembark by 9.30am

Star Clipper's range of on board facilities include two pools, sun deck, piano bar, outside Tropical Bar, library, dining room and gift shop. Various watersports are available, including windsurfing, water-skiing and scuba diving for certified PADI divers. The ship also operates an open bridge policy allowing guests to join the crew. Dining is a culinary experience and you are free to dine when and with whom you wish. The atmosphere on board is relaxed and casual, as is the dress code.
