Hmong Adventure Tour
3 Days Chiang Mai to Chiang Mai. Escorted Group Journey.

Departures: Daily (minimum 2 persons) Day 1: Chiang Mai Hmong Hilltribe You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning to travel by 4WD Landrover or similar to visit the Hilltribe Museum at Mae Rim and a local market at Mae Malai. Continue on to Ban Mae Taman of Mae Tang where you can enjoy the unforgettable experience of an elephant ride and a typical northern ox-cart ride through rural landscape. After a picnic lunch, board inflatable rafts for an adventurous journey through the rapids of the Mae Tang River (mid March to June the water levels can be quite low so instead you can enjoy drifting down the river on bamboo rafts). Continue by Landrover to the Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, through scenic jungle clad hills passing remote villages and rice fields enroute. Enjoy a barbecue dinner and an authentic presentation of hilltribe dances at night. (LD) Accommodation: Hmong Hilltribe Lodge
Day 2: Hmong Hilltribe The day begins with a short trek to the village of Mae Pa where you will pick up your mountain bikes for a half day cycle through forests, lush valleys and rice fields to Baan Pong Kwaw. Enjoy a well deserved picnic lunch and visit an old temple with beautiful wall paintings. Continue by 4WD vehicle to Nong Hoi Mai and trek or mountain bike to Mae Khi village for coffee from a typical Hmong kitchen. (BLD) Day 3: Hmong Hilltribe Chiang Mai Depart the lodge after breakfast to visit Queen Sirikit's Botanical Garden and an orchid farm. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit a snake farm before being transferred back to the airport or to your chosen hotel in Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. (BL)
The accommodation at the Lodge is basic, however all bedding is provided and there are western amenities.

Day 1: Phuket/Krabi Khao Sok National Park This morning transfer from your hotel to Phang Nga province, travelling through picturesque, rural countryside. Board a motorized dinghy and cruise through the maze of mangrove forests along the coast, meet with a classic Burmese junk where a delicious lunch is served. The afternoon is spent on a deserted beach were you can swim, canoe or just relax in the sun. Late afternoon, transfer over the mountain pass to Khao Sok National Park for your first night's accommodation at the Elephant Hills Tented Camp. Here you can enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding jungle covered mountains and listen to the free "rainforest concert" while enjoying a glass of wine from the bar before dinner is served. Retire to your luxury safari tent furnished with comfortable beds with a mosquito netting canopy, reading lights and an en-suite bathroom with shower and hot running water. Day 2: Elephant Hills - Khao Sok National Park Breakfast is at leisure before travelling to the Elephant Camp where you will set off on a magical elephant ride through the jungle and hills an amazing way to travel and view the surrounding scenery. On return a buffet lunch is served before a river canoe trip down the Sok River, drifting past limestone cliffs covered with exotic tropical vegetation. Your return to Elephant Hills is greeted by dinner and the Jungle Bar will be open for drinks. (BLD) Day 3: Khao Sok National Park Phuket/Krabi Set off to explore the surrounding jungle by foot with the chance to experience the ecology of the rainforest up close. The trek is gentle and slow-paced, however the terrain can be rough and slippery at times making it unsuitable for the less mobile. Back to Elephant Hills for the last chance to enjoy the spectacular views before transferring to your hotel in Phuket or Krabi. (BL)
This program is not suited for children below 7 years. The order of activities varies with weather and local conditions. Please take practical footwear and a torch. A bag or pack is advised as suitcases are not practical.
