Departures: Daily Day 1: Arrive Buenos Aires On arrival at Buenos Aires Airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for your three-night stay. The rest of the day is at leisure. Standard: Dazzler Libertad Deluxe: The Caesar Park Day 2: City Sightseeing & Tango Show This morning enjoy a tour of this impressive city. Discover the cobbled streets and brightly painted houses of La Boca and the grand architecture in Plaza de Mayo. Continue to the exclusive neighbourhood of Recoleta, with its treelined avenues, fashionable restaurants, cafés and boutiques, not forgetting the famous cemetery that holds Evita's shrine. This afternoon is at leisure for shopping, strolling the many gracious parks or simply relaxing in one of the fashionable outdoor cafés. This evening, enjoy exquisite cuisine and a spectacular dance display in one of the city's oldest and finest tango venues. (BD) Day 3: Buenos Aires Today you will have a day at leisure to get to know the city better. Or take an optional excursion to either the Paraná delta or experience life on an Argentine ranch, alternatively take a trip to neighbouring Uruguay. (B) Day 4: Buenos Aires - Iguazú Falls Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Buenos Aires domestic airport for your morning flight (not included) to Puerto Iguazú Airport on the Argentine side of the falls. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay. This afternoon, cross the border for a guided tour of the Brazilian side of the falls where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the falls from the walkways, and feel the spray from the powerful and awe-inspiring Devil's Throat cataract. Before returning to your hotel, why not take a thrilling boat ride to the base of the falls, or get an aerial perspective on a fantastic helicopter flight (not included in the price)? different view from the Brazilian walkways the lower circuit goes close to the falls as they come hurtling over the edge of the gorge, and the upper circuit winds its way along the top so you can look down on the falls and appreciate the forest of the surrounding national park. (B) Day 6: Iguazú Falls Estancia El Ombú This morning, transfer to Puerto Iguazú airport for your flight (not included) to Buenos Aires, where you will be met and driven to the small town of San Antonio de Areco, approximately two hours to the north. Your home for the next two nights will be the lovely Estancia El Ombú, a working cattle ranch with a magnificent late-colonial main house. (BLD) All categories: Estancia El Ombú Day 7: Estancia El Ombú Today, you will have a full day to explore the pampas surrounding the estancia. Many activities are on offer, including horseback riding, bird-watching, country walks, and carriage rides, or you could become an assistant to the estancia's seasoned gauchos, taking part in the farming activities. A relaxing day can be spent by the swimming pool and you can also enjoy delicious food, prepared on the ranch using some of the finest local products. (BLD) Day 8: Estancia El Calafate Today you will be transferred back to Buenos Aires airport for your flight (not included) to El Calafate. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a 3night stay. El Calafate is on the southern shores of Lago Argentino, the largest lake in Argentina, and close to Los Glaciares National Park where there are 356 glaciers! (B)
Standard: Hotel Sierra Nevada Deluxe: Hotel Posada Los Alamos Day 9: Perito Moreno Glacier Enjoy a full day tour to Perito Moreno Glacier, undoubtedly one of the most impressive sights in Patagonia. Continue along the forested lakeshore until you reach Curva de los Suspiros and here you will see the first panoramic view of the glacier Perito Moreno. Among the 356 glaciers within the park, the Perito Moreno is the most outstanding, having a three-mile long front and a height of over 180 feet above water level. Pieces of ice from the glacier crash loudly into the lake below leaving glistening, deep blue icebergs twisting and turning in the lake. (B) Day 10: Upsala Glacier & Lake Onelli Today, take a full-day tour on and around Lake Argentino to Upsala Glacier. Leaving from Punta Bandera Port you will sail north among amazing blue icebergs and spectacular mountain ranges until you reach Upsala Glacier, an area of 955 square kilometres. Later, continue to Onelli Bay, passing surrounding beech forests until you arrive at Lake Onelli, whose surface is dotted with icebergs of many different shapes and sizes. (B) Day 11: Depart El Calafate This morning, transfer to El Calafate airport for your onward flight. (B)
