Departures: Mon, Wed & Sat. Day 1: Arrive Lima On arrival in Lima, you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. Standard: Hotel Posada del Inca San Isidro Deluxe: Miraflores Park Hotel (Ocean View) Day 2: Lima Today, discover the best of colonial and modern Lima on a fabulous 3-hour city tour, plus time at leisure. (B) Day 3: Lima Arequipa After breakfast, you will be transferred to Lima airport for your flight (not included) south to Peru's most beautiful city, Arequipa. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour of this stunning `White City', now declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO. Visit the impressive Santa Catalina Convent and the museum housing the remarkable teenage Inca maiden mummy now christened Juanita. (B) Standard: Casa Andina Arequipa Deluxe: Libertador Arequipa Day 4: Colca Canyon This morning set off on a magnificent scenic drive to the Colca Canyon, an area of extraordinary beauty and one of the most scenic regions in Peru. This afternoon is at leisure to relax and appreciate glorious Andean scenery. (BLD) Standard: Casa Andina Colca Valley Deluxe: Colca Lodge Day 5: Colca Canyon Puno An early departure to the Cruz del Condor, a vantage point from which you can admire the Colca Canyon and see the majestic condors soaring overhead on the early morning currents. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Chivay before continuing by road (approx. six hours) to Puno. Transfer to your chosen hotel on the shores of Lake Titicaca for a twonight stay. (BL) Standard: Sonesta Posada del Inca Puno Deluxe: Libertador Puno Day 6: Lake Titicaca Enjoy a boat trip on the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca. Visit the floating islands, home to the Uros Indians. These amazing islands are constructed from layers of totora reeds, which rot away from the bottom and are replaced at the top. Walking on the small islands is very safe despite the soft, springy, moonlike sensation as you tread! Enjoy a leisurely lunch on the beautiful island of Taquile, where life has remained very traditional, before returning back to the mainland. (BL) Day 7: Puno Cuzco You will be collected early from the hotel to board the bus to Cuzco, once the holy city of the Inca Empire. Along the way you will enjoy unrivalled views of the towering Andes, remote Andean villages and rolling plains where vicuñas and llamas are often seen. On arrival in Cuzco, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel. (BL) Standard: Casa Andina Cuzco Plaza Deluxe: Monasterio Cuzco (Deluxe Room) Day 8: Cuzco The morning is yours to spend at leisure. This afternoon join a sightseeing tour, which includes a visit to the amazing nearby ruins of Sacsayhuaman. (B)

Day 9: Cuzco Pisac Market The Sacred Valley The Sacred Valley is a region of outstanding beauty, with traditional villages and ancient ruins. Today travel into the valley, stopping off at a bright and vibrant local Indian market. After lunch, continue to the tiny village of Ollantaytambo where, perched on the mountainside, you can see the imposing Inca ruins of a massive temple fortress. Your hotel tonight is situated in the heart of the Sacred Valley. (BL) Overnight: Pakaritampu Hotel Day 10: Machu Picchu Today, take a stunning scenic train journey to reach Machu Picchu, which boasts an unrivalled scenic setting. On arrival, your guide will explain the fascinating history of the site, steeped in mystery and intrigue, and which was only rediscovered in 1911. You will have plenty of time to explore, before checking into your chosen hotel. Standard: Hatuchay Hotel (BL) Deluxe: Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge (BLD) Day 11: Machu Picchu Cuzco This morning is at leisure. You may want to return to the ruins for sunrise or browse through the markets of Aguas Calientes. Later in the afternoon you will return to Cuzco by train. Day 12: Cuzco Lima After breakfast, transfer to Cuzco airport for your flight (not included) over the Andes back to Lima. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. (B) Standard: Hotel Posada del Inca San Isidro Deluxe: Miraflores Park Hotel Day 13: Lima Nazca Lines Ica Today, travel by luxury bus 310km south along the Pacific Highway, through arid desert scenery and lush coastal oases, to the town of Ica. You will be met by your guide and transferred to the airport for your flight over the mysterious and geometric Nazca Lines. From the air you will easily be able to identify giant animal figures engraved on the desert surface over 1,500 years ago. (B) Overnight: Las Dunas Resort Day 14: Ica Paracas Lima Travel north to Paracas for a stunning excursion by boat to the Ballestas Islands. Here, a wildlife sanctuary plays host to the Peruvian booby, pelicans, vultures, condors and the Humboldt penguin. One of the most enchanting sights is the colonies of sea lions and fur seals that can be seen soaking up the sun on the rocks or swimming around. Return to Lima by luxury bus. (B) Standard: Hotel Posada del Inca San Isidro Deluxe: Miraflores Park Hotel (Ocean View) Day 15: Depart Lima Transfer back to the airport for your onward or homebound flight.
