Expedition Cruising - Patagonia We invite you to come and visit the far end of the earth aboard Cruceros Australis. Sail through a magic and wild land of fjords and glaciers, where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans merge, perhaps glimpsing dolphins and penguins en-route. Discover the Strait of Magellan, towards Cape Horn, where early explorers once circumnavigated South America to connect two worlds. Cruceros Australis offer two first-class expedition ships, the Mare Australis and the Via Australis. Expedition Cruise Ships Mare & Via Australis are both first class expedition cruise ships ideal for exploring this wild and beautiful region. The atmosphere on board is informal with plenty of activities taking place throughout the day. Enjoy daily land excursions on `Zodiac' boats, led by expert expedition guides and interesting lectures about the region's flora, fauna, history and geography. The food on board is exceptional, dine on delicious buffets and à la carte international cuisine, along with typical local dishes. The recreational areas have panoramic windows, but the best views are from the large open terraces on the top deck. 64 comfortable cabins are available over four decks, accommodating up to 136 passengers. Cabins are classified in four categories, depending on the location on the ship, and all offer private bathrooms, air conditioning, heaters and safety deposit boxes, as well as panoramic windows. B cabins: Located on the first deck, with twin-size lower beds. A cabins: Located on the second deck, with a mixture of double and twin beds. AA cabins: Distributed on the third deck with twin and double beds. AAA cabins: Distributed on the fourth deck with twin and double beds. 4 Night Cruise Punta Arenas Ushuaia Departures: Saturday & Wednesday (From Oct08: Saturday & Tuesday) Day 1: Check-in from 1pm at Punta Arenas and enjoy a welcome cocktail aboard the ship.
