Bahia by Night - Dinner & Show

Experience a Bahian dinner and cultural showcase of Candomblé (a dance in honour of gods), against the backdrop of the 18th century colonial family holding Solar do Unhão. With its own church, manor house and slave quarters you will get a feel of Brazil's memorable colonial past. This evening focuses on the wealth of Bahian culture showcasing the multiple African traditions that are still very much alive in Bahia. A variety of traditional dances include the maculelê, a stick and sword dance from the cane fields, followed by the dance of the caboclo, an Amerindian hunting dance. One of the highlights is the exhilarating performance of Capoeira, the impressive martial art and dance of Angolan origin. The show ends with the samba de roda, a spinning, swirling version of this exuberant national dance. A delicious dinner is included in tonight's tour.
