The charming Tivoli Ecoresort Praia do Forte offers fantastic facilities and some of the best beaches in Brazil. The resort is located in an environmentally protected area with 12kms of nearly-deserted beach, surrounded by a lush coconut palm plantation. Departures: Daily Days 1-2: Arrive Salvador - City Tour On arrival you will be privately transferred to your hotel for a two-night stay. Next morning enjoy a private sightseeing tour of historical, bustling and colourful Salvador, home to some of the best-preserved colonial architecture in the Americas. Visit the church of São Francisco with its extravagant gold-leafed Baroque interior and Pelourinho Square, the heart of the old town, and the city's busy port. The rest of the day will be at leisure to explore further or relax at your hotel Standard & Superior: Pestana Bahia Days 3-5: Salvador - Praia do Forte You will be met at your hotel for the one-hour private transfer to Praia do Forte and your chosen hotel for the next three nights. Your time will then be at leisure to discover the beaches and tropical rainforest around this small, charming and ecologically important fishing village. The beautiful palm-fringed Praia do Forte beach is an important nesting site for four different species of turtle, and the marsh area nearby is home to a large number of birds, caimans and other animals. From the village you can arrange jeep tours, horseback riding, canoeing and other activities.
