Nazca & Arequipa
The mysterious Nazca Lines are giant animal and geometrical designs drawn into the desert over 1,500 years ago, best appreciated with a scenic overflight. Arequipa is adorned with colonial churches, mansions and a beautiful convent, with a stunning backdrop provided by the volcanoes which dominate the skyline. To the north, the Colca Canyon is a magnificent Andean valley, home to condors and traditional communities.

3 Day Nazca Lines
Departures: Daily Day 1: Arrive Lima On arrival in Lima you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for an overnight stay. Standard: Casa Andina Miraflores Centro Superior: Miraflores Park Hotel Day 2: Lima Nazca Lines - Ica Today you'll be transferred from your hotel to the Cruz del Sur bus station to board a luxury public bus for the 310km drive south along the Pan-American Highway, through arid desert scenery and lush coastal oases, to Ica. Meet your guide around midday and take to the air for a flight over the enigmatic giant animal and geometrical patterns known as the Nazca Lines. Marvel at the images, which were etched into the sand over 1,500 years ago. Later, return to Ica, where you will overnight at the Las Dunas Resort.(B) Standard & Superior: Las Dunas Resort Day 3: Ica Ballestas Islands Lima Today you'll be driven north to Paracas for an excursion by boat to the Ballestas Islands wildlife sanctuary, home to the Peruvian booby, pelicans, vultures, cormorants and Humboldt penguins and the occasional Chilean flamingo. For many, the most enchanting sight will be the colonies of sea lions and fur seals that can be seen sunbathing on the rocks or swimming around the boat. You will also see the famous Candlestick design, traced in the sand 128 metres long and 78 metres wide. In the afternoon, you'll return to the bus station for the return journey to Lima. The tour ends on arrival in the city centre, or you can choose to be dropped off at the airport if you prefer.(B)

4 Day Arequipa & The Colca Canyon
Departures: Daily Day 1: Arrive Arequipa On arrival in Arequipa, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Take a tour of the beautiful White City' and see Santa Catalina Convent (a complete miniature walled colonial town), the picturesque Plaza de Armas and the Jesuit church of La Compañia. At 2,400 metres, Arequipa is the perfect place in which to acclimatise to the Andes. Standard: Casa Andina Arequipa Superior: Libertador Arequipa Day 2: Arequipa - Colca Canyon An early departure for a scenic bus ride past the snowcapped El Misti volcano to the Colca Canyon, twice as deep as the Grand Canyon and bordered on either side by unspoilt villages. Enjoy a packed lunch en-route before arriving in the traditional town of Chivay. The afternoon is at leisure, relax and appreciate the glorious Andean scenery.(BLD) Standard: Casa Andina Colca Canyon Superior: Colca Lodge Day 3: Colca Canyon Arequipa After an early breakfast, depart for the Cruz del Condor to view the majestic condors in flight. Visit the hot springs at La Calera (entrance not included), and enjoy further exploration of Inca agricultural terracing and indigenous towns before stopping for lunch in Chivay, and your return to Arequipa for the night.(BL) Standard: Casa Andina Arequipa Superior: Libertador Arequipa Day 4: Depart Arequipa After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport at Arequipa for your onward flight.(B)
