New Zealand Motorhomes
Motorhome holidays offer total independence, with the freedom to explore and discover the sights at your own pace, and in your own way. Hiring a `home on wheels' really couldn't be easier, with excellent road networks and a wide choice of campgrounds throughout New Zealand. Together with our partners, Maui and Britz, we bring you the largest and most extensive fleet. Hiring a motorhome is as easy as hiring a car and we now also have a holiday where we can pre-book your camp grounds.
Special Offer
Book by 31 July 2008 to receive 3 weeks hire for the price of 2. Travel must be started and completed between 01 April and 30 September 2008. Please ask your consultant for more details.
Prices Exclude
· Excess & Excess Reduction Fees (see Insurance). · Overhead and underbody sections of the vehicle (exc. when No worries Cover/ Maui Premium Package has been purchased) · Wellington Airport to branch (vice versa) at clients own expense. · Diesel Tax Recovery Fee. This is included in the Maui Premium Package, but if this has not been selected the fee is calculated and paid locally based on the kilometres travelled during the hire. This is approximately NZ$4 per 100km (subject to change). · One-way rental fee of NZ$220 for rentals between the North and South Islands (and vice versa), where pick up is between 01Oct08-31Mar09. · Motorhomes collected and returned in Wellington and Queenstown incur a NZ$200 location fee. · LPG gas bottle refills · Change of drop-off destination while on hire. · Rental extension fee of NZ$150 will apply if the rental period is extended without authorisation. · Repair costs over NZ$100 unless authorised. · A cleaning fee of up to NZ$345 will apply if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
Terms & Conditions
· Minimum rental age is 21 years and a full driver's licence is required (English/International). · Drivers 75+ years of age must provide a medical certificate stating they are fit to drive for the duration of their hire. · Minimum rental period 5 days, except between 23Dec08-10Jan09 for all rentals or if collected from the North Island and returned to the South Island (and vice versa) between 01Oct08-31Mar09 when the minimum rental period is 10 days. · Motorhomes may only be driven on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads.
Prices Include
· Unlimited kilometres. · Vehicle insurance (excess applies). · 12.5% GST. · Complimentary airport to branch (vice versa) transfers at Auckland and Christchurch (Queenstown branch is at the airport). · Extra driver fees. · Kitchen and general equipment (towels and bedding) and starter pack. · Free bicycle hire (at selected Top Ten Holiday Parks). · Eco Trust loyalty card and supermarket discount card. · 24-hour toll free nationwide road service helpline. · Tourist information, including maps.
Insurance In the event of any damage to the vehicle or third party, the hirer will be liable for the first NZ$7500. A security deposit of NZ$7500 is payable at the start of the hire to cover this liability. The security deposit can be paid by credit card only and will be debited immediately incurring a fee of 1.75% (Visa/Master card) or 4.5% (American Express card). To reduce excess and security deposit fees, chose from the following options. We strongly recommend upgrading to the Maui Premium Package for the best value for money. Only available in the UK prior to departure. Excess Reduction Option 1: NZ$20 per day (max NZ$1000) payable locally, reducing excess to NZ$2500. Security deposit payable locally, NZ$2500. Excess Reduction Option 2: NZ$38 per day (max NZ$1900) payable locally, reducing excess to NIL. Security deposit payable locally, NZ$220. No Worries Cover Option: Purchase excess reduction option 2 and upgrade to No Worries Cover Option for NZ$50 per hire payable locally, covers for accidental damage to the overhead and underbody sections of the vehicle (otherwise excluded).

Interislander Ferry
Should you wish to travel between the North and South Islands you must take your motorhome across on the Interislander ferry. Due to space limitations, especially in high season (NovFeb), it is advisable that you pre-book your crossing, see page 54.
Britz Campervans
A good alternative to Maui for those looking for more affordable options. The price of Britz campervans have been designed to secure the best possible rates. These Flex rates are set on a very simple system of supply and demand. Generally this means that the earlier you book the more you save! Please enquire for full details.
Maui Premium Package
* Highly recommended Pre-book the Maui Premium Package upgrade for £18 per day in addition to the daily rental rate (maximum £880), for all the benefits of excess Reduction Option 2 (Excess $0), No Worries Cover Option, Diesel Tax Recovery Fee, plus pre-purchase gas, child/booster seat if required and picnic table & chairs.
