Bay of Islands & Northland
Drive north from Auckland and you will discover the breathtaking Bay of Islands, home to 144 beautiful and mostly deserted islands. An ideal place to relax, the region offers secluded bays, golden beaches and clear blue seas. It is also home to an abundance of wildlife, including marlin, whales, penguins, dolphins and gannets. Take a cruise to the `Hole in the Rock' or enjoy a swim with the dolphins; a magical experience.

Day 1: Auckland to the Bay of Islands From Auckland, travel north over the Harbour Bridge and follow the coastline through the farming communities. From here you will continue to Whangarei and the beautiful Bay of Islands. On arrival a brief sightseeing tour includes Waitangi Treaty House and Grounds plus Paihia Waterfront. If staying at Pukematu Lodge, you will take a scenic ferry ride from Paihia to picturesque Russell. Standard: Copthorne Hotel & Resort Superior: Pukematu Lodge (incl. breakfast, see page 22) Deluxe: Paihia Beach Resort & Spa Day 2: A day at Cape Reinga Travel further north today and experience magnificent Cape Reinga. You will be overawed by the expanse of Ninety Mile Beach. Take a walk to the famous lighthouse of Cape Reinga and enjoy a picnic lunch amid the natural wonders of the area. You return to Paihia in the early evening. Day 3: Bay of Islands Auckland Today enjoy a Cape Brett Hole in the Rock cruise, with time to explore beautiful Urupukapuka Island where you can swim, snorkel or simply relax on the beach. The remainder of your day is at leisure for you to explore Paihia or the small town of Russell. For those who have been staying in Russell you will need to take the short ferry trip back to Paihia late in the afternoon in order to meet the coach that will take you back to the centre of Auckland. (Please note arrival approximately 8pm.)
Cape Reinga by Air
Tour CAPE1 5hrs Enjoy the spectacular scenery on your flight up to Cape Reinga over bush-clad hills, fjord-like Whangaroa harbour, unspoilt Doubtless Bay and world famous Ninety Mile Beach. The views are most breathtaking from the air and this is the best way to experience the area. Afterwards, enjoy a two and a half hour vehicle tour to Cape Reinga Lighthouse, the beautiful Tapotupotu Bay and the Te Paki stream with its giant sand dunes if you are brave enough you can have some fun sledding down them! On your return you will arrive back at the airfield for your return flight home to Paihia, during which you'll take in the views of the Parengarenga Harbour, with its glistening clear waters and white sands, Cavalli Islands, Kauri Cliff's golf course and the Bay of Islands. Discover Hokianga
