Day 1: Arrive Christchurch On arrival into Christchurch, the `Garden City', you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or to start exploring on your own. Tonight enjoy the atmosphere of the city where there are many wonderful restaurants and bars to choose from. The tour concludes with a cable car ride on the city gondola, offering great views of the Southern Alps. Day 3: TranzAlpine Experience Today you follow the TranzAlpine Experience as shown adjacent highlights include a journey on the famous TranzAlpine train, plus an exciting jet boat ride and afternoon tea at a working farm. Day 4: Depart Christchurch A chance for some more last-minute shopping or sightseeing before the transfer from your hotel to Christchurch Airport for your onward flight.

Balloon Adventures Up, Up, and Away

Kaikoura Whale-Watch Cruise

Kaikoura is one of New Zealand's leading eco-tourism destinations and worldrenowned for its variety of marine mammals. Sperm and humpback whales, dolphins and seals are all attracted here by the rich feeding grounds off the coast. On arrival, you will join a whale-watch tour by boat or light aircraft the choice is yours. Following a delicious lunch there will be time to explore a fur seal colony located on the rocky shores which surround Kaikoura; seals may be viewed at close quarters, in this superb spot for photographs.
