3 Day Discover Milford
Milford Track
Departures: Daily (during OctApr) Day 1: Queenstown Te Anau Depart early this morning for your coach journey to Milford Sound in the spectacular Fiordland National Park. You will pass through lush subtropical rainforests and tumbling waterfalls, which open up to the mighty Milford Sound. Discover breathtaking views of Mitre Peak, a majestic presence dominating the skyline, and make sure you keep a lookout for seals basking on the rocks as you cruise the full length of the magnificent Milford Sound. Return to Te Anau and check in at the Kingsgate Hotel for the next two nights. Day 2: Milford Track Walk Today you will experience the world-famous Milford Track on a one-day guided walk. Begin with a cruise along the beautiful Lake Te Anau to the start of the track. You will follow the Clinton River for a short way, cross a swing
bridge and then continue on through ancient beech forest to the Clinton Hikers Hut. Enjoy a packed lunch beside a mountain stream or at the hut. An experienced guide will be on hand to point out interesting features and describe the history of the track along the way. There is plenty of time for you to relax, take photos and view the bird life. Walking is easy and unhurried. (L) Day 3: Te Anau Glowworm Caves Queenstown Enjoy a morning at leisure and then, in the early afternoon, you will take a magical guided tour of the spectacular Te Anau Glowworm Caves. Discover this mysterious underground world of sculpted rock and rushing water, as you explore by path and small boat and your senses are overwhelmed. You will drift in the silent darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of hundreds and thousands of tiny glowworms. Your luxury coach will depart from Te Anau late afternoon and arrives in to Queenstown early evening (approximately 19:15).
