Day 1: Las Vegas - Grand Canyon Your tour begins with a morning pick up from one of the hotels on the 'Strip' (normally Bally's), and you leave the glitter of Las Vegas behind and head into Arizona. Travel to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon for awe-inspiring views of two billion years of geological history. There's free time to enjoy the area's various attractions, or simply gaze in silence as the setting sun casts ever-changing shadows over the Canyon's depths. Day 2: Grand Canyon - Monument Valley - Lake Powell Travel east along the South Rim of the Canyon and through the 'Painted Desert' tribal lands belonging to the Navajo Indians to reach the Arizona/Utah border. Visit the spectacular 1,000-foot high cliffs, mesas and buttes of the
iconic and instantly-recognisable Monument Valley, its red rock landscape having provided the backdrop to many classic Western movies. Head on to the resort of Page, on the shores of Lake Powell, for an overnight stay. Day 3: Lake Powell - Bryce Canyon The delicately-coloured rocky shoreline of Lake Powell, the second largest man-made lake in the USA, lends it a desolate beauty and an undoubted photogenic appeal. There's time this morning to enjoy an optional cruise on the Lake, before we head into the Mormon state of Utah for a visit to Bryce Canyon National Park. Its intricatelycarved spires and cliffs, in vivid colours of red, orange and yellow, have to be seen to be believed. Day 4: Bryce Canyon - Zion - Las Vegas Travel south through Utah's distinctive landscapes towards Zion National Park, one of America's most scenic. Zion's impressive colourful cliffs are wonderfully contrasted with
the lush greens of the forested valley floor, criss-crossed with miles of hiking trails. This afternoon continue back to Las Vegas, where your tour comes to an end with an early evening arrival back to the 'Strip'.
