New Orleans, home of Dixieland Jazz and Mardi Gras, is like nowhere else on earth. Combine the fun and mystery of the `Big Easy' with a stunning seven night cruise to the best of the Western Caribbean and enjoy a wonderful blend of adventure, excitement and relaxation.
YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to New Orleans. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a four night stay. DAY 2 - From its beginnings in the 18th century with the arrival of the French Arcadians (Cajuns), New Orleans has absorbed Spanish, African and other influences which pervade the city's unique personality. The narrow streets, wrought-iron balconies, seafood restaurants and flower-bedecked verandas ring to the sound of authentic jazz from the bars and cafes of fabled Bourbon Street. Savour the taste of Creole and Cajun cuisine amidst the non-stop activity of street musicians, mimes, pavement artists and the legendary night clubs. Our included morning sightseeing tour will introduce you to some of this amazing city's best sights. You will see the former military parade ground Jackson Square, the downtown district, Lake Pontchartrain, the Superdome home of the New Orleans Saints football team and the French Quarter, where you will find St. Louis Cathedral and Bourbon Street. Optional excursions include a trip on a traditional sternwheeler and a tour of New Orleans by night. temples and pyramids at Altun Ha, or choose one of the other great excursions. DAY 10 - Arrive at wonderful Cozumel, Mexico's favourite resort island. Also known as the `Island of the Swallows', it boasts some of the clearest waters in the world. Here you can shop, enjoy every water sport imaginable, journey into the jungle, or soak up the sun on the beach. Alternatively, why not take a tour of the ancient Mayan ruins of Tulum. DAY 11 - Cruising at sea. DAY 12 - Arrival in New Orleans and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 13 - Arrival in the UK.

DAYS 3 & 4 - Free to relax or explore further in New Orleans. DAY 5 - Transfer to the pier to board NCL's Norwegian Spirit for your seven night cruise. DAY 6 - Cruising at sea. DAY 7 - Arrive at the charming resort of Costa Maya in Mexico, where relaxation is the name of the game. Unwind on the beach, enjoy a drink in the bars or browse in the shopping village. Alternatively visit the nearby Mayan ruins of Chacchoben and Kohunlich. DAY 8 - We call at Santo Tomas de Castilla in Guatemala. This is an ideal base for exploring the fabulous Mayan ruins, taking a boat trip up the Chipilingo River, or enjoying an exciting canopy walk in the tropical rainforest. You can also visit the lovely waterfalls of Las Escobas, a banana plantation, or the beautiful beach at Amatique Bay. DAY 9 - Landfall at Belize City, a wonderful city in the former British colony of Belize. The capital of tiny Belize offers the chance to take off into the tropical rainforest, which supports an incredible variety of flora and fauna.
