Explore areas that are inaccessible by road and catch a glimpse of dolphins and whales in Queen Charlotte Sound if you are lucky. Overnight accommodation has been arranged in Port Hardy. DAY 9 - Travel southwards to the city of Campbell River, known as the `Salmon capital of the world'. You will stay in Campbell River overnight. DAYS 10 & 11 - From Campbell River, journey to Tofino, on the west coast of Vancouver Island for a two night stay. This nature lover's paradise is situated within the Clayoquot Sound, an area of mostly wilderness that comprises almost 8% of Vancouver Island, designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. From Tofino you will enjoy both whale and black bear watching. DAY 12 - Depart Tofino for the city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, stopping on the way in Duncan, known as the `City of Totems' due to the number of totem poles on display. You will also stop at Chemainus, famous for its outdoor murals depicting the history of the town. A two night stay has been arranged in Victoria. Victoria, situated across the Strait of Georgia on Vancouver Island, resembles an old English town with narrow streets and grand 19th century buildings. DAY 13 - A morning sightseeing tour of Victoria has been included. You will see the Parliament building and the fabled Empress Hotel overlooking the picturesque inland harbour, before travelling to the famous Butchart Gardens for a tour. The afternoon is free to explore Victoria further. DAY 14 - Take a short flight from Victoria to Vancouver, from where you will fly back to the UK.
