Mayan Dude Ranch The `Dude Ranch' style of riding is walking in single file on trails, so complete beginners are especially welcome. Spanning 340 acres of true American ranchland, it's a labyrinth of beautiful trails for you to explore with your cowboy guide! The lowlands of the Medina River snake through the ranch, contrasting with the hills which afford tremendous views. And there's so much more, including a hot tub, fishing, tennis, nature trails and an outdoor swimming pool. You can enjoy a traditional cookout and take part in the morning hayride to the `Old Homestead' for a cowboy breakfast. As evening approaches, sit with a cooling drink and watch the glorious Texan sunset. There is also the option to join in a country and western singing and dancing evening (with instruction). Accommodation at the ranch will be in rooms with private facilities.

Awaken to a good hearty cowboy breakfast, jump in the saddle for a ride and mosey on down to the Medina River, before a barbecue cookout and line dance to boot! Just some of the fantastic activities you could be enjoying at the exciting Mayan Dude Ranch.
Located in Texas Hill Country, this is the Texas of stetsons, country and western music, cattle and country living. Tap your feet, swing your partner and enjoy the food this is an experience you will never forget. Contrast this with enchanting San Antonio renowned for its stunning riverside walk and the famous Alamo.This lovely city is the epitome of the Mexican legacy in Texas delicious cuisine, wonderful handicrafts, Latin music and a relaxed unhurried approach to life. YOUR ITINERARY DAY 1 - Depart on your scheduled flight to San Antonio. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 2 - This morning we have included a half day sightseeing tour of San Antonio, visiting the San Jose Mission. You can see an interesting video about the history of the mission in the visitors' centre. Then walk around the grounds and visit the chapel, before arriving at The Alamo, site of the famous battle and watch a short film re-enacting the 13 day siege and fall. After returning to the hotel, the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy San Antonio. You can stroll along the idyllic riverside walkway or take a boat trip to admire the sights from the water. DAY 3 - We leave San Antonio and drive into the beautiful Hill Country of Texas. Accommodation for the next five nights has been arranged at the Mayan Dude Ranch. All meals and activities are included during your stay. A glass of wine or beer is also included with dinner. DAYS 4 TO 7 - You are at leisure to enjoy a full range of included activities. DAY 8 - We drive to San Antonio airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 9 - Arrival in the UK.
