This magnificent holiday really is the ultimate experience for music lovers. The fantastic itinerary includes many meals plus visits to some of the most important places in the history of music. With visits to New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville, our tour visits the heartlands of popular music. You'll discover the roots of blues, rock `n' roll, country and jazz. And of course, you'll visit the home of Elvis Presley himself Graceland.
YOUR ITINERARY - Depart on your scheduled flight to New Orleans. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a two night stay. DAY 2 - Included guided walk through New Orleans' famous French Quarter, with an exclusive presentation on Bourbon Street about the history of Jazz including live music. We include lunch at the Court of Two Sisters, where you can listen to live music as you eat. Tonight we include dinner on board a steamboat on the Mississippi River.
Nashville Memphis TENNESSEE MISSISSIPPI Natchez Vicksburg New Orleans
DAY 3 - This morning we include a visit to the Garden District and a recording studio, to discover the roots of rock `n' roll. Depart for Natchez via the family home of Jerry Lee Lewis. Overnight stay in Natchez. DAY 4 - Depart Natchez for the drive to Memphis. En route, stop at Clarksdale for an authentic Blues experience. Dinner will be in Tunica at the Horseshoe Casino. Continue the short drive to Memphis for a two night stay. DAY 5 - Today's included visits feature the famous Gibson guitar factory, followed by a guided tour of Beale Street, the birthplace of the blues. You will also visit the Lorraine Motel where Dr. Martin Luther King was shot in April 1968, plus get a glimpse of the social changes and impact this had on the music scene. We'll then visit the famous Memphis Rock `n' Soul Museum, where you'll discover the history of popular music, from its origins way back in the 1930s, and the STAX Studio. This evening we include a visit to the BB King on Beale Street for dinner.
