DAY 7 - Newport is one of the north coast's most popular vacation spots, with a historic bay front, beaches, shops, restaurants and the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. The town is also home to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Mark O. Hatfield Marine Science Center. Continue to Lincoln City, where we include a city tour and time to shop at the Tanger Outlet Mall. We then travel through wine country to Portland for a two night stay. We also include a stop at the Evergreen Aviation Museum near McMinnville to take a look at Howard Hughes' famous seaplane, the Spruce Goose. DAY 8 - Head through the quaint town of Troutdale and on to the Historic Columbia River Highway, which takes us through some of Oregon's most stunning scenery. The road climbs past orchards and blueberry fields and on to Crown Point, which offers inspiring views of the Columbia River Gorge and the
mountains of the Cascade Range. We'll stop at the spectacular Multnomah Falls, which tumble 620ft down the steep side of the gorge. Drive on through the Hood River Valley to Mount Hood, the highest peak in Oregon. DAY 9 - Morning departure for Seattle. The city is packed with attractions such as the historic Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market and the Space Needle. Two nights' accommodation has been arranged in Seattle. DAY 10 - This morning we include a sightseeing tour to help you get to know the city, followed by an included cruise on Puget Sound this afternoon. DAY 11 - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. DAY 12 - Arrival in the UK.
