YOUR ITINERARY Thursday july 24th - Depart on your scheduled flight to Beijing. FRIDAY JULY 25TH - Arrival in Beijing, where you will be met by your Tour Manager and Chinese guide, before transferring to your hotel for a three night stay. Included city tour this afternoon. SATURDAY JULY 26TH - Beijing is an extraordinary city. Today we include a visit to Tian an Men Square, and through the Gate of Heavenly Peace, which forms the entrance to the incredible Forbidden City. After lunch visits will be made to Beijing Zoo and the Summer Palace. SUNDAY JULY 27TH - This morning we include a visit to the Great Wall, passing within 40 miles of Beijing at Badaling. Lunch is followed by a visit to the remarkable Ming Tombs. During the evening there will be a special Peking Duck dinner. MONDAY JULY 28TH - Transfer to Beijing Airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel where two nights accommodation has been arranged. Dinner will be at the hotel. TUESDAY JULY 29TH - We include a visit to the site of the Terracotta Army at Li Shan Mountain. You will also visit the nearby Han Tombs. In the evening, join our optional Tang Dynasty folklore show. WEDNESDAY JULY 30TH - Included morning guided tour of Xian. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Dunhuang in the heart of the Silk Route. On arrival you will visit the Mogao Caves and the Sand Dunes at Mingsha, before proceeding to your hotel for an overnight stay. THURSDAY JULY 31ST - Today you will travel through the desert landscape to the town of Hami for an overnight stay. FRIDAY AUGUST 1ST - Leaving Hami, you will travel to the heart of Yiwu County, where you

SATURDAY AUGUST 2ND - After breakfast, return to Dunhuang for an overnight stay. SUNDAY AUGUST 3RD - Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chengdu via Xian, where you will stay overnight. MONDAY AUGUST 4TH - Morning departure for the drive to the Wolong Nature Reserve. Lunchtime arrival at your hotel for an overnight stay. After lunch, you will visit the Sanctuary. TUESDAY AUGUST 5TH - This morning you will pay a visit to the Panda Museum, before the drive back to Chengdu after lunch for an overnight stay. WEDNESDAY AUGUST 6TH - Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chongqing, where you will board your cruise ship for a three night Yangtze cruise. THURSDAY 7TH & FRIDAY 8TH AUGUST You will cruise to the Three Gorges Dam. Proceed downstream through the Xiling, Wuxia and Qutang Gorges. A stop will be made to take a side trip up the Shennong Stream. SATURDAY AUGUST 9TH- Morning arrival in Yichang. Transfer to Wuhan for your flight to Shanghai. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. SUNDAY AUGUST 10TH - Today we take an included sightseeing tour of Shanghai. This evening there is an included visit to an Acrobatic Show. MONDAY AUGUST 11TH - Join our included full day tour by train to Suzhou, situated on Chinas historic Grand Canal. TUESDAY AUGUST 12TH - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. As you are flying westwards your arrival in the UK is later the same day.
Your Hotels
You will stay in hotels such as the Friendship Hotel in Beijing, the Xian Hotel in Xian and the Zhao An Hotel in Shanghai. All rooms feature private facilities, air conditioning or heating as required, TV, telephone and a constant supply of tea as is the custom in Chinese hotels. Other facilities include western and Chinese restaurants and bars. In Wolong you will stay in the Panda Inn or similar. Accommodation is simple with all rooms featuring private facilities. During your stays in Dunhuang and Hami, the hotels and facilities are of a basic standard. At the Eclipse site you will stay in twin tented accommodation with shared washroom and toilet facilities
Your Ship
You will cruise the Yangtze Gorges aboard the MV Sunshine or similar. This cruise vessel has twin cabins with private facilities for approximately 130 persons and features a restaurant, bar, coffee shop, viewing deck and is fully air-conditioned. We are sure you will be agreeably surprised by the standards of comfort and service on board.
