Your ItInerarY SunDaY 14th - Depart on your scheduled flight to Australia. MonDaY 15th - Arrival in the beautiful city of Perth for a four night stay. tueSDaY 16th to tHurSDaY 18th - Relax before exploring Perth and the neighbouring port of Fremantle with its golden beaches, superb restaurants, lush green parks, stunning broad expanses of the Swan River and warm climate. A half day city sightseeing tour is included and optional excursions include a cruise on the Swan River and a drive to the gigantic Wave Rock. FrIDaY 19th - Fly to spectacular Ayers Rock for an overnight stay and to watch the sunset, plus visit the mysterious Olgas nearby. SaturDaY 20th - See Ayers Rock at sunrise and tour the Aboriginal rock paintings. Afternoon drive, stopping at a camel farm for an optional ride, before reaching Alice Springs for a two night stay. SaturDaY 27th & SunDaY 28th - Free in Sydney. Optional excursions include a drive to the Blue Mountains and Wildlife Park, a harbour cruise and a tour of Sydney by night. MonDaY 29th - Drive to the capital, Canberra, for an overnight stay and a tour of the government buildings and the Prime Ministers Lodge. Stop en route at a sheep station for a sheep shearing demonstration. tueSDaY 30th - Visit the Australian War Memorial Museum, before continuing to the historic township of Albury for an overnight stay. neW YearS eVe - Drive to Melbourne, home of Australian Rules Football, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Melbourne Cup, for a three night stay. Enjoy Australias finest restaurants and visit Captain Cooks cottage and the old gaol where Ned Kelly was held prisoner. Tonight there will be a five-course dinner aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant to welcome in the new year. neW YearS DaY & FrIDaY 2nd JanuarY 2009 - Free in Melbourne. Optional afternoon visit to Philip Island for the Penguin Parade. SaturDaY 3rd & SunDaY 4th - Morning free before your return flight to the UK, arriving next day. SunDaY 21st - We include a half day sightseeing tour of Alice Springs featuring the Flying Doctor Base, the Old Telegraph Station and the famous School of the Air (when open). Option excursions include the MacDonnell Mountain Range and the Standley Chasm, also a dawn balloon flight over the outback (weather permitting). MonDaY 22nd - Afternoon flight to Cairns for a four night stay. tueSDaY 23rd - A day trip by catamaran to Frankland Island on the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. CHrIStMaS eVe - Relax in Cairns. Optional excursions include a visit to the Atherton Tablelands and a ride on the spectacular Kuranda Railway. CHrIStMaS DaY - Spend the day exploring your surroundings and enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch. BoXInG DaY - Fly to Sydney for a three night stay.
