MonDaY 15th - Arrival in the beautiful city of Perth for a four night stay. tueSDaY 16th to tHurSDaY 18th - Relax before exploring Perth and the neighbouring port of Fremantle with its golden beaches, superb restaurants, lush green parks, stunning broad expanses of the Swan River and warm climate. A half day city sightseeing tour is included and optional excursions include a cruise on the Swan River and a drive to the gigantic Wave Rock. FrIDaY 19th - Fly to spectacular Ayers Rock for an overnight stay and to watch the sunset, plus visit the mysterious Olgas nearby. SaturDaY 20th - See Ayers Rock at sunrise and tour the Aboriginal rock paintings. Afternoon drive, stopping at a camel farm for an optional ride, before reaching Alice Springs for a two night stay. SaturDaY 27th & SunDaY 28th - Free in Sydney. Optional excursions include a drive to the Blue Mountains and Wildlife Park, a harbour cruise and a tour of Sydney by night. MonDaY 29th - Drive to the capital, Canberra, for an overnight stay and a tour of the government buildings and the Prime Ministers Lodge. Stop en route at a sheep station for a sheep shearing demonstration. tueSDaY 30th - Visit the Australian War Memorial Museum, before continuing to the historic township of Albury for an overnight stay. neW YearS eVe - Drive to Melbourne, home of Australian Rules Football, the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Melbourne Cup, for a three night stay. Enjoy Australias finest restaurants and visit Captain Cooks cottage and the old gaol where Ned Kelly was held prisoner.
