Visit the impressive cathedral, stroll around the Vieux Marché and soak up the festive atmosphere.
Your ItInerarY tueSDaY 23rd - Local departure and a midmorning crossing to Calais. Late afternoon arrival at your hotel in Rouen for a four night stay. CHrIStMaS eVe - Included morning tour of Rouen. This famous city has witnessed countless historic events, including the execution of Joan of Arc. Our tour features the impressive Rouen Cathedral, the last resting place of Richard Is heart, plus the Abbey of St. Ouen. Youll also visit the Place de Vieux Marché, the citys main market, where you can pick up some local delicacies. Afternoon free to explore the city further. Tonight we have a special Christmas Eve dinner at the hotel. CHrIStMaS DaY - This morning we include a half day excursion to the stylish seaside resort, Deauville. Inspect the elegant architecture and take a stroll along the famous wooden promenade known as Les Planches. Later today enjoy Christmas dinner back at the hotel. BoXInG DaY - Join an optional three-quarter day excursion to Amiens, famous for its Gothic cathedral, the largest in France. Take a stroll around the delightful old quarter of St. Leu, a charming area of canals and water-side cafés and bars.

SaturDaY 27th - Depart for Calais. Late afternoon crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel You will stay at the comfortable medium grade Hotel Kyriad Centre, centrally located just a ten minute walk from the main attractions in Rouen. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lift. All bedrooms have private facilities and TV.

CHrIStMaS eVe - Optional three-quarter day tour visiting the quaint old town of Amiens, the capital of the Picardy region, with its famous Gothic cathedral and delightful old quarter of St. Leu. Return to the Château for a festive Christmas Eve dinner including wine and coffee. CHrIStMaS DaY - Optional full day excursion to the wonderful French capital, Paris. Our comprehensive visit features a panoramic tour of the famous sights such the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysées and more. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore at your own pace. Christmas dinner including wine and coffee this evening. BoXInG DaY - Included visit to the nearby Château Chantilly, one of the largest estates in France. With its magnificent gardens and impressive grounds it was chosen as one of the locations in the James Bond film, A View to a Kill. Youll have plenty of time to explore the château and stroll around the lakes and canals before visiting the town of Chantilly itself. Return to the château for dinner including a glass of wine.

SaturDaY 27th - Depart after breakfast for a late afternoon return crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel The Château de Montvillargenne, a former residence of the Rothschild family, is situated in the heart of the Chantilly forest just over a mile from the town of Chantilly, famous for its historic buildings and horse racing. The Château stands in its own 15 acre park and has been extensively refurbished. Accommodation is reserved in one of the recently added wings adjacent to the main historic Château. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished and feature private facilities, telephone, satellite TV and minibar. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, renowned for its fine cuisine, a charming bar and an outside terrace. Free leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room, small gymnasium and table tennis.
