Your ItInerarY MonDaY 22nd - Local departure and a midmorning crossing to Calais. Overnight stay in northern France. tueSDaY 23rd - Travel south-east through Bavaria into Austria, arriving at your resort of Thumersbach in the early evening for a four night stay. Welcome drink and dinner. CHrIStMaS eVe - Optional three-quarter day excursion to the Sound of Music city, Salzburg to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the stylish shops and visit the traditional Christmas market. Mulled wine and cookies back at your hotel before a Christmas Eve buffet dinner. CHrIStMaS DaY - An included visit to the picturesque village of Kaprun, where you can take a cable car ride (extra cost) up the Kitzsteinhorn for spectacular views of the Grossglockner. Return to your hotel in time to relax before a traditional Christmas dinner and live music. BoXInG DaY - Optional three-quarter day excursion featuring a visit to the popular lakeside resort of Zell am See, followed by a scenic ride on the Pinzgau narrow gauge railway to Mittersill, set in the impressive Hohe Tauern National Park.

SaturDaY 27th - Leave Thumersbach after breakfast and retrace your route for an overnight stay in northern France. SunDaY 28th - Continue to Calais crossing back to the UK and continue to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel You will stay at the comfortable Hotel St. Hubertushof in Thumersbach, about two and a half miles from Zell am See. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, reception, lobby, sun terrace and sauna. All rooms feature private facilities, telephone and TV.

Your ItInerarY MonDaY 22nd - Local departure and a mid-morning crossing to Calais. Continue into northern France for an overnight stay. tueSDaY 23rd - Travel across Germany and into Austria for an early evening arrival at your hotel in Zell am Ziller for a four night stay. Welcome drink and dinner at the hotel this evening. CHrIStMaS eVe - At leisure in the resort or join our optional excursion to Innsbruck with its colourful pedestrianised old town. Theres time for some last minute shopping at the delightful Christmas market under the famous Golden Roof before returning to the hotel. In the evening enjoy a festive Christmas Eve meal accompanied by harp music. After dinner take a warming Glühwein on the terrace before joining a torch-lit walk to the church for midnight mass. CHrIStMaS DaY - Join our included half day tour visiting the pretty resort of Mayrhofen, surrounded by the spectacular Zillertaler Alps. We continue to the incredible Hintertux Glacier, where there is the opportunity to take a ride on the cable car (at extra cost). Return to your resort for an included sleigh/buggy ride and schnapps before a traditional Christmas dinner in the evening. time to explore the elegant shops or why not take a cable car (at extra cost) up the famous Hahnenkamm Mountain for spectacular views of the Alps. We return via the historic town of Rattenberg, on the River Inn. SaturDaY 27th - Time to retrace our steps and head back into France for a final overnight stay. SunDaY 28th - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel You will stay in the comfortable Hotel Neue Post in Zell am Ziller. This family-owned hotel is conveniently situated close to the town centre and features a bar, restaurant, lounge, lift, terrace, sauna and steam bath. All bedrooms feature private facilities, cable TV, telephone and balcony.
