The lovely French region of provence has long been a favourite destination for British holidaymakers. The beautiful landscape, enchanting villages and fine wines guarantee a great festive break and fond memories. From your base in the delightful town of orange, our selection of excursions will show you the many charming towns and magnificent sights of this delightful region.
Your ItInerarY MonDaY 22nd - Local departure and a midmorning crossing to Calais. Continue to the Dijon area of France for an overnight stay. tueSDaY 23rd - Continue south to the town of Orange in Provence for a four night stay. Welcome drink and dinner at the hotel this evening. CHrIStMaS eVe - Optional half day excursion to the spa town of Aix-en-Provence, with its lovely boulevards and squares lined with stylish boutiques and street cafés. It is also a city of fountains and the best ones can be seen in the Cours Mirabeau. You should however, take time to wander through the old town to see the impressive Cathedral St. Sauveur. In the evening enjoy a special five course French style Christmas Eve dinner. CHrIStMaS DaY - Join our included half day tour to Les Baux-de-Provence. Wander through the winding streets on your way to the ruined citadel from where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the Camargue, or visit one of the little chapels, festooned with seasonal decorations. In the evening a festive Christmas dinner will be served at your hotel. BoXInG DaY - Optional three-quarter day to Avignon for an included walking tour of the old quarter, followed by free time to stroll along the

old ramparts of the Palais des Papes or stand on the famous bridge. We then continue to the impressive Roman aquaduct, the Pont du Gard a truly amazing sight. Return to the hotel for dinner. SaturDaY 27th - Depart Orange after breakfast and return to Dijon for a final overnight stay. SunDaY 28th - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon crossing back to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel You will stay in the comfortable medium grade Hotel Amarys, centrally located in Orange. The hotel has a restaurant, lift and all bedrooms feature private facilities, telephone and TV.

Overnight stay in the Dijon area of northern France. tueSDaY 23rd - Continue south to your hotel in Antibes for a four night stay. Welcome drink followed by dinner this evening. CHrIStMaS eVe - Morning at leisure to explore Antibes and perhaps take time to visit its wonderful Christmas market. In the afternoon join our optional excursion to the old town of Grasse featuring a guided tour of the famous Fragonard Perfumery. French-style Christmas Eve dinner back at the hotel this evening. CHrIStMaS DaY - Join our included half day excursion to Nice, one of Frances greatest resorts and a byword for glamour and sophistication. Stroll along the marvellous promenade or take a break in a traditional café. In the evening enjoy a festive Christmas dinner at your hotel. BoXInG DaY - Optional full day tour to the tiny principality of Monaco and its capital Monte Carlo. Despite its small size it has become one of the worlds most elegant playgrounds of the rich and famous. SaturDaY 27th - Depart Antibes after breakfast and return to northern France for a final overnight stay. SunDaY 28th - Continue to Calais for a late afternoon return crossing to the UK, returning to your original departure point in the evening. Your Hotel You will stay at the comfortable Hotel Thalazur, situated above the Bay of Angels with panoramic views of the coast below. The hotel is conveniently located just a mile from the centre of Antibes and the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle bus service into town. Hotel amenities include a restaurant, bar, lounge and lift.
