This city of cobbled streets boasts the beautiful riverside quarter of Belem, site of the Jeronimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries. CHrIStMaS DaY - Cruising at sea BoXInG DaY - Funchal, Madeira Arrive 0730 Depart 1730 This welcoming island, with its fabulous subtropical climate and famous wine, is home to a wealth of flora and fauna, glorious gardens, lovely villages and breathtaking views of volcanic mountains, contrasting with the deep blue ocean. SaturDaY 27th - San Sebastian, La Gomera Arrive 1100 - Depart 2300 One of the least visited of the Canary Islands, La Gomera has much to offer visitors, from the church of La Asunción, the Pozo de la Aguada and the Torre del Conde (Tower of the Count), to the Garajonay National Park. SunDaY 28th - Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Arrive 0800 - Depart 2300 Gran Canaria has possibly the most interesting character of all the Canary Islands.
