Your ItInerarY MonDaY 29th - Depart on your flight to Ljubljana and transfer to Opatija for a five night stay. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner this evening. tueSDaY 30th - Join us for an included introductory walk around Opatija. A popular holiday resort since the early 19th century, the town retains an unmistakable air of grandeur, with a lovely sea front promenade the Lungomare, marvellous gardens, marina, a good range of shops and a selection of bars and restaurants. neW YearS eVe - Relax or join our optional full day Istrian Discovery excursion. From the harbour and Roman ruins of Pula, we continue to Rovinj, a delightful resort on the Adriatic and move on to historic Porec. This evening celebrate the New Year at a special dinner with live music. neW YearS DaY - Blow the cobwebs away and join our included excursion to Ljubljana, the delightful capital of neighbouring Slovenia, with its medieval heritage and baroque old town. After lunch continue to majestic Lake Bled, surrounded by mountain peaks and one of the most picturesque spots in Europe. FrIDaY 2nd JanuarY 2009 - Join our optional excursion to Postojna Caves & Lipica Stud Farm. We visit the breathtaking caverns of Postojna and continue to the Lipica Stud Farm, where the famous white Lipizzaner horses are bred. SaturDaY 3rd JanuarY - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

Your HoteL You will stay at the five star Hotel Ambassador in Opatija overlooking Kvarner bay. The hotel has restaurant, bar, lifts, lounge and indoor heated swimming pool (sea water). All bedrooms have private facilities, air-conditioning, TV, telephone, hairdryer and safety deposit box. The hotel also has a fine Wellness Centre with sauna, solarium and massage (extra cost).
