Your ItInerarY SaturDaY 27th - Depart on your scheduled flight to Moscow. On arrival transfer to your hotel for a three night stay. Welcome drink and dinner. SunDaY 28th - Moscow is home to a wealth of famous historical buildings and youll discover the best of them on our included city tour. See sights such as Red Square, St. Basils Cathedral, the Kremlin and Novodevichy Convent with its distinctive golden domes. MonDaY 29th - Free to relax or join our optional half day excursion to the Kremlin, including a tour of the grounds and a visit to the Cathedral of the Assumption. tueSDaY 30th - Morning free before transferring to the station for the afternoon train to St. Petersburg (journey time approx. 6 hours). On arrival transfer to your hotel for a four night stay and enjoy a welcome drink and light dinner. neW YearS eVe - Included morning tour of St. Petersburg, a beautiful city founded by Peter the Great. Among the wonderful sights are the Admiralty, the Winter Palace, the Peter & Paul Fortress, the Church of Spilled Blood, St. Isaacs Cathedral and Nevsky Prospekt, the citys main boulevard. Afternoon at leisure to explore further. Time to freshen up ready for your included New Years Eve dinner at the hotel, with wine and entertainment. neW YearS DaY - At leisure or join our optional full day excursion to Petrodvorets, Peter the Greats beautiful Summer Palace. FrIDaY 2nd JanuarY 2009 - At leisure or join our optional half day excursion to Peter & Paul Fortress, the original citadel of St. Petersburg, established by Peter the Great in 1703. SaturDaY 3rd - Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK. Your HoteLS Accommodation is in comfortable tourist class hotels of three or four star standard. In Moscow you will stay in the Hotel Cosmos, located approximately 5 miles from the centre. Facilities at the hotel include bar, restaurant, lift and bedrooms feature TV, telephone and private facilities. In St. Petersburg you will stay in the Hotel Pulkovskaya, a short drive from the city centre. The hotel has a bar, restaurant and lift. All bedrooms feature private facilities, TV, and telephone. Alternative hotels may be used, subject to demand. Your Tour Manager will be happy to assist you with arranging additional evening meals at the hotel or a local restaurant.
