This extraordinary cruise is one youll never forget. YOUR ITINERARY Sunday 1st June - Harwich Depart 1630 Monday 2nd - Cruising at sea. Tuesday 3rd - Floro Arrive 0900  Depart 1800 Our first port of call is Norways westernmost town, Floro. Visit the Coastal Museum for an insight into the towns history. A range of shore excursions will introduce us to the beauty of the region. Enjoy spectacular views from Brandsoyasen, sail around the islands or visit the Norwegian Deer Centre. Wednesday 4th - Alesund Arrive 0800  Depart 1730 Alesund is home to some excellent Art Nouveau architecture. Shore excursions include a visit to the islands of Giske and Godoy, and a trip to the excellent open-air museum. Thursday 5th - Cruising at sea. Thursday 12th - Leknes, Lofoten Islands Arrive 0800  Depart 1700 Wonderful scenery of jagged mountain peaks, precipitous cliffs and deep fjords awaits on Vestvagoy, one of the dramatic Lofoten Islands. Friday 13th - Cruising at sea. Saturday 14th - Andalsnes Arrive 0800  Depart 1230 Andalsnes is set at the head of the spectacular Romdalsfjord. Excursion opportunities include a steam train ride through the stunning scenery. Molde Arrive 1530  Depart 1900 Molde lies in the shadow of snow-capped mountains on the northern shores of Moldefjord. Sunday 15th - Bergen Arrive 0830  Depart 2000 Bergen boasts a wonderful outdoor market and the Bryggen, an area of colourful wooden gabled warehouses and narrow alleys. Join an optional ride on the funicular for some stunning views, a scenic tour of the surrounding area or a visit to Troldhaugen, home of composer Edvard Grieg. Monday 16th - Cruising at sea. Stand atop the 1,000ft-high cliffs and gaze out over the Arctic Ocean. We return to the ship in order to sail past the North Cape, basking in the glory of the Midnight Sun (weather permitting). Saturday 7th - Cruising at sea. Sunday 8th - Longyearbyen Arrive 0930  Depart 1330 Today we reach barren Spitzbergen and the town of Longyearbyen, which nestles between the mountains and the edge of the spectacular Isfjord. Magdalenafjord Arrive 2230  Depart 0130 Tonight we cruise the stunning Magdalenafjord, one of Spitzbergens most scenic. The continuous daylight allows us to enjoy this awe-inspiring sight at its best. Monday 9th - Ny Alesund Arrive 0800  Depart 1400 DR BERNARD ROWLANDS, MA, PHD., DIP.ED - SCIENTIST Bernard Rowlands was educated at the University of Liverpool and is an expert in glaciation and has travelled extensively leading parties particularly in Norway, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroes and in the Inner and Outer Hebrides. He has lectured on many cruise ships and his other interests include wildlife, natural optical phenomena and Viking history.
